Even in the Soviet Union English was taught in the schools of course those who learned well were recruited for the KGB, that's how my wife learned English! If everything ends well for Ukraine English may become a second language in Ukraine because we will be doing a lot of business in Ukraine and hopefully build a couple military bases there as well, a combined Ukraine/U.S. naval base would be nice too!

Ukraine lacks third-party escrow companies, so when a developer starts a building, they presell flats. The developer is supposed tonuse the money collected to pay for construction, but if the money runs out before the building is finished - or the developer simply absconds with the funds - the buyers are left with nothing.
@JohnnyFD

Yes, it's super risky to buy presale construction, I've been tempted a few times by glossy fliers and promises, but Luckily i've never pulled the trigger.
@ZeIsAnEnemy
@ZeIsAnEnemy 21 сағат бұрын
Bank Arkada had a banking license and finance their construction via special funds designed by government to spend money only on construction. So the question is how it’s possible that construction wasn’t done, money gone, investors fucked and government says it’s your fault. The main problem in Ukraine that government is a huge pile of horse shit that’s always the part of criminal groups to rob people. My personal opinion all those people should open cases in EU law organisations to sue against Ukraine as country. Because country is not doing nothing to prevent it, it’s a part of it, many politics raiding building companies.

Johnny, Don't let the Russian trolls and the idiots of the world get to you. Ukraine has every right to defend itself. I worry about Ukraine and Israel daily. Both countries are under constant attack, much of which gets very little press coverage. I am always amazed by people who cannot grasp that we are all facing a threat from a co-ordinated effort by Russia and its fellow oppressive countries. Be safe Johnny, you are a great guy, and the Ukrainians are clearly a courageous people who deserve to live in peace. I wish I could be there and share a cup of coffee with you in that wet, miserable looking weather. Hi Johnny, Perhaps an interesting topic for the class would be to ask the students "think about the future as if it is the present, and peace has finally arrived, what does peace look like? and would they be doing in that future state?" and let the students come up with their ideal future and describe it. What would they do during peace time? What should Ukraine as a country do differently during peace time? Peace

Johnny, your analysis of the war and people's reactions were spot on.... I am in Naples Florida and am 86. Yes, as a child I recall WWII. My folks lived across from Manhattan NYC on Long Island in 1943. I visited Kyiv in about 1988, along with Moscow, St Petersburg, and went swimming in the Black Sea by Odessa. I returned to Russia in 1995, Moscow only. Sadly, the USA, imho, is allowing Ukraine to fight Russia, but not win, in order to weaken Russia. Just my opinion. More Sadly, the "allies" of the USA have been shipping whatever they want through countries like Georgia.... and therefore the people in Russia have not felt the full effects of the war. I am hoping Pres Trump will simply tell "our allies" "if your products are being sold in Russia, you will not be allowed to sell in the USA, AT ALL. Imho, the effects would be hard on us here, but the people of Russia would soon know the effects of war ... no elevators, no repair parts, no this and no that. Not just higher prices for essentially black market goods ... no goods. This policy would even affect the oligarchs... no replacement parts, .... AND tell our European "allies" no visas for any Russians, AND no Russians allowed even to attend United Nation building NYC.

So true. I think small reduction in economic activity is a very small price to pay for us living in the west. This war could have been avoided if ukraine would’ve stayed neutral period. But since US is expanding its NATO military bases surrounding Russia, so Russia is saying enough is enough already. You’re old enough to remember the Warsaw Pact agreement where Russia is not moving to the west and US/NATO is not moving to the east. And that’s exactly what happened US/NATO moved not only to the east but they’re already surrounded Russia with its military bases so what makes you think that Russia is going to tolerate that? Would US tolerate if Russia and China would start to build military bases all over Mexico? The very next day Mexico would get bombed into submission!

Cheap at three times the price when you consider the ongoing cost of sharing the world with a massive oppressive outlaw state. Hey @JohnnyFD I’m watching the news every day, and I’m rooting for Ukraine. I know they have separated their Churches from those in Russia. Shouldn't they now do away with the Russian Cyrillik (I’m probably butchering the word) alphabet and adopt the Latin alphabet, like Poland and other Slavik nations. It would make it so much easier for tourists because though you can't speak a language, you can, in a lot of cases, understand what's written. I understand a lot of the cyrillik, but it took a long time. I assume after the war, Ukraine would want as many tourists as possible? 🇿🇦🇺🇦

The Ukraine/Russia conflict didn't start on February 2022 but the seeds were sown before that.
@du7924
@du7924 11 сағат бұрын
It all started when Russia captured Crimea and then captured two cities in the East, Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, with its militants led by Strelkov Girkin. It was against him that Ukraine launched the operation. And not against the people. Most of the people from the occupied territories of Donbass moved to Ukraine by 2022. And Russia started a war and did not allow Ukraine to return to peace. Only 20% of Donbass was under Russian control until 2022

Don't take the snarky comments seriously. These russian trolls are working in the only govt. provided jobs available. Yes, there are many stupid people who actually voted for putin-oops- I mean trump. But, do you think they spend any time writing comments-that's too much like work. Take care.

I don't understand calling the largest group of US presidential voters "stupid." And as for their spending time to write comments - they obviously did and do - they organized to win the election in part through uncountable messages and comments on every English-language social media. People in Ukraine are in grave danger. They're no doubt brave to still be there. But they're in serious danger and the danger grows every day.

First of all, Putin never "promised" to flatten Kiev. Don't make stuff up. And second, the cooking gas in your stove comes directly from Russia. Russian gas is being supplied to Europe through Ukrainian territory non-stop, all this time without any interruptions, including today as you record your video. Just think about it, and don't be pathetic.

Having renounced nuclear weapons in 1994, Ukraine received quite transparent guarantees from three countries. Russia, Great Britain and the USA, having signed an international treaty, pledged to respect the territorial integrity of the country and promised not to threaten Ukraine either by force or by economic levers. Today, the Federation Council of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the introduction of troops into the territory of Ukraine. "MediaPort" publishes the full text of that very "non-aggression pact".

@@svetasveta4036 In the pre-dawn darkness of February 27, 2014, armed men in green uniforms without identifying marks stormed the regional parliament in Simferopol and raised the Russian flag over the building. Over the next two weeks, troops in the same uniform occupied all of Crimea, encircling Ukrainian military bases and seizing strategic facilities. It became obvious that this was the Russian army. One of the soldiers said so on camera. However, despite clear evidence that the troops, nicknamed "little green men," were subordinate to Moscow, Russia consistently denied or glossed over their origins and role in the subsequent annexation of Crimea. Despite the fact that the involvement of Russian military was obvious, Putin said: "These were local self-defense forces."🤣 Света вы обычные лжецы!!!
