I got a PowerPint a couple days ago, and I love it!!! I'm not an electrician or construction worker, so I don't need a multitool with every tool known to man. I just need something to grip with, open bottles and cans, and turn screws. It's about the same size as a 3-layer swiss army knife, so it is totally fine in the front pocket of shorts or pants. I'm glad to see it will hold up to prolonged use. 👍

I found some tiny magnets on Amazon and glued them to the insides of the handles to keep them closed small enough that they do not affect the grip you’ll have on bits you place into the top

I have the SOG Flash MT and althugh i'm perpetually biased to Victorinox, i like what SOG offers. PowerPint is probably next. Glad to know that the screws are T8.
@MeZillch2 жыл бұрын
It's hard to adjust the tightness of the opening, using two T-8s or whatever they are, such that you get a nice stiffness to prevent accidental opening YET you still have easy flip open action (or I think you called it "fidget factor"). Maybe you'll have better luck than me. Thanks for uploading. Oh, also, one guy placed a thin button shaped neodymium magnet down by the lanyard end to keep the handles together (also handy for bit driving action so you can let go and rotate your hand) and reported good closure, but I haven't tried that myself because I avoid strong magnets on my pocket use tools because they can zap magnetic strips on nearby credit cards.

@@JohnnyJukeHey, did you maybe mod it with magnet? I will be ordering from AliExpress. Thank you love the channel you got new subscriber 😅

You could use a rare earth magnet to stop the powerpint opening in your pocket. A 5mm x 2mm disc magnet might be enough.

A few thoughts/questions: 1) Has anyone used the protractor on the pliers? How practical and accurate is it? 2) In my humble opinion "first impression" videos are little more than ad hoc commercials. Reviews after the tool has been used for a while like this one have so much more credibility. 3) I don't own any SOG products, and based on what I've heard the PowerPint, while not perfect, is the shining exception to its bigger brothers. Why? Where's the disconnect?

hey i noticed you commented about how you wanted to tighten it I actually got this specifically for it being similar to a balisong/butterfly knife and most have this same tightening mechanism. You can tighten it by gripping the tool in open state really hard and then you can tighten the screws from the pocket clip side
