It can be perfectly used without wifi connection. Just use the built-in buttons to start/stop the clean mode and return to dock.

Hi i hv a few questions & really hope u can help. I just bot a Roomba i4 thru a online seller. My country dustributors do not carry this model so i cant find anyone to help. 1) how can i do mapping if i hv upstairs & downstairs 2) i did a programming to vacuum 3x weekly at a certain time for downstairs. When its done after a few mins it returns home - b4 it returns home i took it upstairs to vacuum since i dun know how to do 2 vacuum programmings - i see in my phone app Returning Home - is it ok for me to just bring it upstairs & manually press button to vacuum? Thats what i hv bn doing. 3) i welcome if u hv any advice on how to operate it effectively. Apologise for so many questions.

For mapping upstairs and downstairs you’d have to save two maps on the app. I don’t know your model but for my model that’s how it works.

You may do that what you’ve been doing. But it would be easier through setting two maps in the mobile app.

Thank you for explaining how to operate this. I just got this ROOMBA and was not sure how to empty the receptacle that collects dust, debris, and I did not know how to shut if off. shut it.....there were no instructions inside the box. Somebody told me to get the app on my phone to program certain stuff, but I don't want to get too technical. For me to get a vacuum is a big deal...I am used to using a broom!
