practice. Practice. More practice. Make (well, *assemble*) a dozen plastic models. Then make a dozen electric RC kits (doesn't have to be a car). Then make a dozen nitro engine kits... then make your own frame for one. Try to replicate it. Practice replicating other components. Look on youtube how they approach machining specific parts. Try to replicate one part of the engine, then more parts. Sell whatever you finish on ebay to get back at least some of the money. Say, buy a kit for 100, sell it for 75. Usually RC kits are *more* expensive than the assembled ones... so you will lose some money by doing this since you will have to sell it significantly less... I do not remember exact numbers, but the kit i got for 400 was 350 ready assembled... so for a rough estimate, you would have to sell it for less than 70% of what you spent... still, you will get some money back.

@deusexaethera4 жыл бұрын
This entire freaking kludge reduces the efficiency of the powertrain by more than a "little bit". A belt-driven drivetrain with the belts being forced through multiple tight bends, a longitudinally-mounted engine in a chassis obviously designed for a transverse-mounted engine, a right-angle transfer case to compensate for the engine's mounting position, a 3-speed gearbox connected to an engine big enough to run just fine with a single gear ratio, etc etc etc. The universal-joint shaft is one small problem surrounded by many large problems.
