A tour around the 5-star rated Grand Bavaro Princess all inclusive resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I stayed there for 6 nights in March, 2023 over March Break (spring break in the US). This walk-through starts in front the lobby and passes by several restaurants, pool areas as I make my way down to the beach and Platnium area before checking out the room.

A beautiful place, for sure, but for me, no matter how beautiful or exotic, I could never enjoy it on my own. Everyone is different, so for you, being there on your own works fine. Enjoy.

Giant down-market, stationary cruise ship, the only difference being that the oldies with their walkers and wheelchairs haven't discovered it yet. Green area is lovely though.

Thanks so much for making this video! I've been to this resort several times, and I absolutely love it. But your comments on its shortcomings (bartender service, etc.) are very true. But you have given me the idea to do a walk from the lobby area to my room (which would be in the "Platinum Lounge" area). Certainly I could use the exercise, lol.

Thank you for this tour! I visited this resort in 2009, well before the the 2019 re-build that you mention. The rooms were in buildings with a configurations of eight units in two stories, with the current four units per floor set-up. With an additional 33% occupancy per building it must be fairly busy at dinner and breakfast, although I'm sure that they have added more à la carte restaurants.

I was in this Hotel last year , I can’t recommend it , food was very bed , there were too much grass in the water so I can’t swim .I changed to new renovated Bavaro Princess it was like in paradise

Internet speed is still important to some. I couldn't upload any videos and on rainy days or down time many people want to just fire up Netflix, KZbin etc and relax in their rooms.

I have enjoyed watching this video.... There were a few things you pointed out that made me go 'Huh" The 1st was the dishes from your room service breakfast, you said, " I ordered room service on my first morning, and I guess they don’t ever take the plates" Could you not just bring them to the attention of the room attendants, or bring them to the buffet yourself? You complained that the coffee station hasn’t been restocked- Did you ask for it to be attended to? I understand that this resort is considered "a Luxury" but at the end of the day these folks are all doing the best they can, there are so many demands put on them as they treat us to luxuries that they themselves most likely couldn’t afford. Approaching life with kindness and Compassion in your heart, will go a long way in today’s world. ♥

Why would those make you go "huh"? It's pretty standard for any hotel or resort to pick up the leftover dishes from room service at least once a day. It's certainly not on the guest to bring them back (that's an utterly ridiculous suggestion) or have to go out of their way to request they be cleaned up. They know the room #'s where they were left... same goes for re-stocking the mini-bar area. They did it 3 times out of 5, I merely pointed out that they missed two times... which is perfectly fair. I still tipped them well. I'm the type of person who will always bring back their trey at a foodcourt etc... but it's not asking too much for house keeping to do their jobs properly when you're paying an extra premium on top of the regular rate for the "platnium" experience.

Great video! Did you happen to notice if there was an elevator to go up to the roof top part in the platinum area? We are interested in this resort and the person I am going with has a bit of trouble with stairs.

The water looks lovely but I have to admit when I am on a holiday I want a 10/10 beach, beauty, 10/10 food (at the hotel and in town), a terrific night scene (love Lahaina in Maui) , 10/10 service, 10/10 room. For us on a warm trip Maui is a favourite as it's also really close - just a 5-hour flight from Vancouver. Sometimes we want a destination that is a lot more exotic but I have the same expectations. But this looks nice Johnny. I have to say I would want way better food, service and really modern facilities. Car rental is great for day outings. I am not a beach person to spend all day there and I like hiking and exercise and interesting things to see and authentic things to do that let me see a lot more of the culture. I do love swimming in the ocean though! It feels so great in the warm clear blue water! Beautiful sand is lovely to run on by the water! This looks like a terrific all inclusive but the food sounds disappointing and the service. It looked like a bar or two didn't have anyone there outside to take orders? I might be mistaken. I am not an all inclusive fan either. I am with you all the way on that! Terrific video J! I really enjoyed it a lot! 🙂Would you stay here again with the poor food quality? Poor service? Do they have high quality alcohol like top notch single malt scotch? We ofteh grab some and bring it back to the hotel but it's nice to have a well stocked bar at the hotel for a nightcap. I don't use the booze and treats in the room much because they are so much cheaper to get in touch and bring back and I don't each much junk ever. The room for you and your friends looks really spacious. But I absolutely want and need a terrific bed and terrific WiFi, TV and such. I know maybe it shouldn't be a big deal but at this point I love a terrific high end hotel! Cheers!!

@@tinab3627 I travel frequently to Maui with my husband and stay in the Kaanapali area at the Westin. It's never come to near $20,000 for two of us. I like a nice holiday but I'd never pay that. We went recently and had a fabulous time. It was pricey for sure but not that high! I work super hard and I want a holiday to have pleasures at this point. The Four Seasons is a beauty! Cheers!

I agree with you, we all deserve to get the experience we paid for when we go on trips. I'm not a foodie so I can deal with the hit or miss food... and the beach here was fantastic and truly world class IMO (in most regards). This place certainly has its shortcomings but for the most part it was still pretty great (although the "5-star" billing surely is a stretch!). Cheers and hope you enjoy your next vacay!

It's usually cheaper if you get things as a package, but you're more limited in terms of dates, flight times, available resorts etc.

Awesome the place is clean but when you pay for those exstras and you donnt get and report at least 8 times it does piss you off eill report tommorow and post video if nothing has changed if changed i will apologise up to now dont think so dont let these schemes reel you in. The star system in these countries are to their standards, so 5 stars is to their standards and not North American standards. This resort looked like 2 stars not 5. Thanks for showing this, so I know where not to stay.

EL area del buffet principal..un area muy grande...no hay nada climatizado...y almuerzas y cena..bañado de sudor...no disfrutas..pensando en el calor tan fuerte...y que ayuda a una mala digestión ...el buffet de la playa no era para repetirlo..estaba totalmente vacio..de clientes..y pobre la oferta...donde encontre en las sillas de una de las mesas..mierda de pájaros y nadie la limpiaba....un empleado en el area exterior..tiro en el piso..pedazos de pan..y vinieron las palomas.... Algunos empleados trabajan molestos..son los pocos..donde nos negaron..el brut...dos veces...en el foodtruck...el empleado se mostro molesto..con mi esposa..en dos ocasiones no tenian brut....el agua mineral de botella plastica..no la ofrecen..y se molestan cuando pides el agua mineral en botellas...es una avalancha de empleados ofreciendote..ventas...son lindas personas ..y muy educadas..pero algunos hacen que uno se sienta incomodo..vimos varias peleas.frente a nosotros..entre empleados...
