A walk through the 2024 Toronto Pride Street Festival on Church Street. I walk north through the festival starting from Dundas Square and make my way up through The Village to Bloor Street. At the end of the walk I come across the Trans march.

I am black, and I think it is too late to change the name, which is a waste of money. I think using the Yonge and Dundas Square names are much easir for people to locate them. They should put that money into the health care system, to pay the doctors, nurses, etc.

It's truly unbelievable with all the issues plaguing the city, crime/carjackings, traffic and congestion, immigration our infrastructure can't support, cost of living/ housing crisis, and even the lagging healthcare system...but efforts are geared towards renaming the square. Crime and poverty needs to be addressed collectively before we even think about renaming a square..

If you’re Italian, by all means promote it. Heck, if you’re a 2SLGBTQ+ Italian, promote both! One doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive of the other, and Pride needs to be promoted as does Italian heritage. It’s also Indigenous Peoples month: like, hell, there’s room for everybody!
