Timber (versus concrete) condos?! More disturbances from noisy neighbors. I would advise someone thinking of buying such a condo to think very carefully before purchasing, especially if they intend on living in it. Of course, in Toronto, in many condo buildings (down Bay street for example), one would be hard pressed to find owners living in their condos. Most are rented out.

YES that timber structure is beautiful - but has no one imagined a fire situation, God forbid, as in past incidents??? The idea is terrifying.

One night back in 2014 I think, condo dwelling, I hear a fire alarm ( as usual ) and then see actual smoke. I bailed outta there. The unit directly below mine was completely on fire but since condos are their own concrete tombs it did not spread, really made a mess of that floor though, elevator would open and it stunk of damp fire. Not so sure I'd want a timber condo! Or one that was just a big house either, one burns and they all go.
