Beautiful bike! And believe me, the handkerchiefs may come in handy some day. I was far from home one time on my bike (wasn’t on the harley) and my left footpeg broke off! The shift linkage is attached to that left footpeg…and the problem was the peg is held on by a single bolt that goes through the frame into the peg itself! So basically no way at all to reattach the peg or shift linkage…honestly a day or two beforehand, I ended up tying a single handkerchief to my front fork for style or whatever. I had the crazy idea of trying to place the footpeg and linkage back where it mounts then tie the handkerchief around it to hold it in place. It wasn’t possible to tie it very tight so it basically held everything barely suspended in the air…it was enough for me to hold my left leg in the air and GENTLY use my toes to shift gears. Took me forever to get home but I made it! Never underestimate the possible uses of a handkerchief!

I haven’t had a bike in twenty years (a Honda and a Kawasaki) and that b.s. is over and it’s time to ride again. I’m going to buy something soon now that Spring is in the air I’m burning to ride.
