Acoustic Adam is the best with his runs and powerful and perfectly controlled vocals!! The U.S. has slept on ,to me , the most talented male singer! He is starring as the emcee in Cabaret on Broadway from October to March. Adam will be great in it!

I've followed you now for quite awhile John and your reactions to Adam Lambert are my absolute favorites! YOU GET IT! Yes, he is truly gifted and should have a stack of Grammy awards by now! But not 1. 😥 Because of haters etc. He never complains though. He's kept busy the last 12 years touring as the lead singer for Queen and doing many appearances on talent shows as a guest and as a judge on several shows in the UK and Australia. He's not hurting. But you're right, he doesnt get the recognition he deserves in his own country. My hubby and I have traveled all over to see him live and met and shook his hand 3 times. He never forgets a face either! He is truly one of a kind AMAZING! Thanks for showing him some love and for having such great music tastes yourself! HUGS FROM LAS VEGAS! ❤❤👍

We fans have been echoing your sentiments for 15 years. If Adam had come along in the eighties, he would have been the biggest star on the planet. His uphill battle has opened the door for countless young alternative performers to express themselves in ways they never could have without his courage to remain true to himself. Thank you for your insightful reactions! Your channel is my favorite. Susan

It is wonderful that Adam is an international superstar; some of the places he charts almost immediately upon releasing something aren’t countries that wouldn’t come immediately to mind if he wasn’t a huge international superstar. He has toured widely solo and with Queen over the world many times. And this summer, he became the biggest entertainer on China. They fell in love with him on a show called “The Singer”. Sadly, it is his own country that he is under-appreciated in. The British deserve him. They love him with Queen, judging talent shows, etc… . The U.S. doesn’t deserve Adam! But he’s doing great and will be the lead on Broadway as the Emcee in ‘Cabaret”. Thanks, as always, for your reaction.

I've been a Glambert since he appeared on American Idol and I feel the same way about why he is not a bigger star. Even after all these years people are still surprised when they hear him sing for the first time. I could listen to this boy (sorry, old lady here) sing the telephone book and I would be on the edge of my seat. I love to see people "discover" him and I love that his voice made Cher cry during the Kennedy Honors. Beside being a spectacular singer, he's a compassionate, humble and kind human being. I love Adam!

Adam Lambert is in full command of his vocal instrument, totally comfortable in his own skin. I watched him on American Idol many years ago. You should watch the videos of his song selections from that time. After Idol he has toured with Queen for 10 years, and doing his own personal work. I also think he shines brightest on these more soulful songs. He is just magnificent. He is who is with no apologies, a fully developed aware human being!

Finally, someone who sees Adam for who he is, he's an astonishingly brilliant vocalist! Been a fan since I saw Adam on American Idol in 2009. From his performances on the show, you could tell he was very versatile. One simply cannot put Adam in a mold; he has so many layers and can sing different genres brilliantly. Like you said, Adam should be more recognized and popular than he is now. Thank goodness Brian May and Roger Taylor saw the brilliant vocalist and performer that he is. He got more exposure and recognition when he performed as their lead singer for Queen. I agree with you, that when Adam sings 'quietly' like this, his vocals shine brilliantly. Hopefully, Adam will make an acoustics album in the future

Queen +Lambert. Love your reactions always. Could not agree more about EVERYTHING you said about Adam. I have been a super fan since I saw him (real time) audition for American Idol. When he came in 2nd, aside from that being a travesty, I was actually glad... because then he could go out and do his own music right away. Which he did... and got slammed for the stage performance. And just like you ... I'm here for it and it made me want him to lean in as well... rebellious, authentic, he has a song called Two Fux :) because he gives none :)

He did this from his home during the pandemic for the Grammy foundation. He co-wrote this song and he did about 4 or 5 songs from his CD Velvet. Velvet was released a day or two before the world shut down and all his tour plans had to be cancelled. Side note: He was also going to go on tour with Christina Agularia and that was cancelled too. He also did an acoustic of The Wknds Blinding Light. His guitarist plays with DNCE. Also, starting Sept thru March, he will be starring on Broadway as the Emcee in Cabaret. He's done musical theatre since he was ten and has toured in Broadway productions world wide but it's his first time on The Great White Way. So happy for him.

That song was from his home during the Pandemic. He's had a lot of people like you who are disturbed by the obvious discrimination. However, he's gotten the last laugh, he's worth approximately 50 million dollars, he's laughing all the way to the bank. Obviously a lot of people love his music and think his personal life is his own business. Adam Lambert has been cast as the Emcee in Cabaret on Broadway from September 16th 2024 through end of March 2025. If anyone wants to see him and is buying tickets, make sure he is performing for the show you're interested since the understudies will be peforming instead of Adam Lambert for some of the Matinees and Evening performances. Adam now is making music for his community.

I loved the "Rock" vibes he gave when he was on American Idol and it's what caught my attention with him. All the "controversial" stuff later on was basically just double standard in the industry. I mean, cmon, Adam fronting QUEEN is "nuff said" lol.

The woman playing guitar is JinJoo Lee. She is the guitar player in Joe Jonas group DNCE and I have seen her playing with the Jobas Brothers too. She's incredible. Adam is absolutely incredible in this! Adam is in my top voices too. He got the hatred because he did the AMA performance and kissed his bandmate without telling anyone in rehearsal. He didn't know he was going to do it. He got caught up in the excitement. He was lucky he had the song Whataya Want From Me on the album and released it to worldwide acclaim. He also got a lot of crap from Queen fans when he took on the role of front man. He was great and Brian and Roger love him. You will still to this day 12 years later find people saying horrible things to him. I think it's been 15 years since he came on the scene from American Idol. There are so many gay artists that have been able to come out and perform as they want and be successful. Adam released his new EP of him being very flamboyant. It has made many diehard fans really happy and others confused. They all still love him but to quote a few, it was a lot more than I can personally handle. Some will leave but I believe the majority of his fans want his happiness.

I fell into the Adam-Lambert-Rabbit-Hole some years ago and I have asked myself the same question ever since: 8:25. (Although it is not really a question: he once said that the US-society in average is slighty homophobic) And answering your thought about leaning into being rebellious even more: he just did this with his EP „Afters“. I think he is so brave - he knows that a lot of people - even some of his usual fans - will not like that - but he tells his truth nevertheless.
@lstapes73 ай бұрын
I was just going to comment the same about “Afters” being his rebellion and anti-establishment statement! I don’t enjoy EDM/House music in general, but I did listen to it and found myself enjoying two of the songs that I have listened to many times since. This EP stirred up quite the controversy, and even some of his long-time fans thought parts were a bit much, but he needed to get this out and to his community, and I commend him for that. Now, I’m off to listen to “2 Fux” because it is just necessary. I like that he performed it on tour with Queen + Adam Lambert because Queen never gave 2 Fux” either, and it basically got them blackballed in the U.S. for years.
