Around 1988, my friend's little brother, Nick, a 6 year old, wrote a letter to Nintendo saying he wanted a baseball game played by robots, to which Nintendo sent him a reply letter! The reply said a game with his wishes was currently in the works and he may see his dream come true soon. When this game was released we all thought it was his idea that sparked the game concept for Base Wars. There was a very fun Football arcade cabinet we got later (Cyberball) and my group of friends always thought Nick was the mastermind behind it all.

Mission Impossible deserves more than an F. Faulting a game for not understanding its mechanics ain't a fair shake. You can't attack pedestrians (that's why the chopper extracts you) and staying out of the street isn't difficult. It has similar stealth-like gameplay as Metal Gear but is faster paced and admittedly frustrating at times. I just don't see how you can overlook Metal Gears flaws for an "S" rank, but forsake another similar quality title with a failing score. Both games are about a B in my book.

It's hard for me to pick one over the other, but if I had to, I would say Mission Impossible does have the better gameplay and variety of levels, plus there are 3 characters with different skills that make gameplay interesting. @CoyoteGuru4 жыл бұрын
Base Wars easily gets an A, if not an S. When a baserunner "should" be tagged out, he and the fielder fight it out to decide if he's out or safe. You can upgrade your players, including their ability to run, throw, catch, and you can even give them weapons for the fights! If a player takes too much damage (loses too many fights) in the same game, it freaking EXPLODES! Three players out and you forfeit the game. So you can be down 15-0 and still win if your players are good at fighting. And it has a full season mode, so you can keep upgrading your players throughout the season. GREAT game.

I remember when I was a little kid, I could flawlessly get through the water level in TMNT. Now I'm in my 30's, and don't have the twitchy nerd reflexes I used to have.

Turtles 2 arcade... I got it for Christmas one year and God it was mind blowing playing it at home. Those were simpler times, but I love remembering them.

No offense, but your ranking series is the most entertained I've been on your channel. Keep it up!

I will be honest even tho snakes revenge was not cannon to the series. I have to say I really liked the game. I give it a S tier.

Skate Or Die was my go to game growing up and T & C Surf Designs! My love for skateboarding games was deep in the 80s!!! 😂 Any news on Uncle Rico's Football? @johnriggs

Mission Impossible's starting area is packed with non-hostile civilians. Kill a civilian, you get busted. Likewise, how did you survive to adulthood when you don't know not to play in the middle of the street? :P Not very fair to rate a game poorly when you just don't understand that you're not supposed to indiscriminately slaughter innocent civilians and play in traffic.

Also I enjoyed snakes revenge even if it has nothing to do with the original mg series

Skate or Die is an A. It takes some time to learn and practice

The thing with Snakes Revenge, you have to be patient checking for the right key to open a door, but there is a patch that fixes this (as long as you have the key in your inventory, you don't need to have it equipped to open a door), and makes the game more friendly. I tried this game (Snakes Revenge) before Metal Gear, and I would give a D to Metal Gear, and a B to Snakes Revenge, which I like a lot, so it might be that all depends on the point of reference that each of us has, and of course I respect your notes, each head is a world. On the other hand, I like this series of videos : ). Regards.

I actually really like metal gear on NES too. Sure It's not as good as the original Japanese MX2 computer version the NES version. I'm actually glad you put it on "S" rank list.😉👍

DATA EAST NES would make a good list. My favorite was Heavy Barrel.
