ETFs are great for their low fees and flexibility. You can buy and sell them throughout the day, just like stocks. But Mutual Funds have that professional management. For some people, paying for active management can be worth it, especially if you’re looking for someone to beat the market
@NelleHummell
@NelleHummell 23 сағат бұрын
I’ve always been more on the Etf side. The low fees and transparency are a big deal for me. And historically, many actively managed Mutual Funds struggle to beat the market, so why pay those extra fees?
@John-vf8qe
@John-vf8qe 23 сағат бұрын
but there’s also the argument that some Mutual Funds, especially those run by experienced managers, can perform well during volatile markets. Active management can give you a layer of protection when things are uncertain. It’s like having someone at the wheel during a storm
@ericbergman7546
@ericbergman7546 23 сағат бұрын
True, but it seems like you’re paying a premium for something that doesn’t always pay off. The data shows that most active managers don’t consistently beat the index over the long term. With ETFs, you’re almost guaranteed market returns at a lower cost
@christopherherbert2407
@christopherherbert2407 23 сағат бұрын
Right, but what if you’re not just looking for market returns? Some people prefer active management because they want someone to make those tactical decisions for them. If you don’t have the time or expertise to monitor the markets, a mutual fund manager might make better choices than you would on your own
@RandyColby-mj1zm
@RandyColby-mj1zm 23 сағат бұрын
That’s fair, but even with ETFs, you can structure a solid portfolio without needing to monitor it constantly. You could go with a total market Etf, maybe add some bond Etfs for balance, and just let it ride. The simplicity of Etfs is a big win for me, and over time, the cost savings really add up

I’m currently working towards financial freedom with a focus on dividends & growth investing. Since 2014, I’ve built a portfolio made up of 30% Mutual funds , 25% Index funds, 15% STP and over 30% in digital assets, thanks to my CFA. This strategy has helped me earn $49,000 a year in dividends. Back in 2014, I only earned $21 in dividends.

I think a good investment portfolio should have three basic things: ETFs for diversification, dividend stocks for cash flow, and leading tech stocks. With your budget, it's a good idea to talk to a fiduciary financial advisor for expert advice.

The only issue you might have is the fear of missing out, just like everyone else. A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new markets, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $1million in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

Whoa! Help me out here! how can you have an annual/monthly dividend "income" if the dividends are reinvested. One or the other, ya can't have both. And, there is nothing in the equations to show the affect of taxes! Somewhere, at some time, the IRS will come calling and taxes will need to be paid. And it is not clear whether this is in an equity account or an IRA (Traditional or Roth). Your $3.1 million is fluff.

I started investing below the $100k mark and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $234,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest a huge percentage of my profit and it got more interesting.! Great video. I find it really baffling that all the major crypto KZbinrs are only looking at pure waves and completely ignoring the broader narrative of why BTC is pumping and why the future outlook may not be as optimistic as it seems. It's kind of irresponsible to note the fact that every ETF launch so far has cause a major spike in BTC'S spike. Already on shaky ground with historically low volume and near pure whale pumps, we narrowly avoided a simple bear market.........I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 24k to a decent 62k in the space of a few weeks .....I'm especially grateful to Gray Chui, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
