Went to Johnstown few years ago and visited the mall and it was literally a ghost town mall. Maybe 20 shoppers in the entire mall. Spooky

My family moved to jtown when i was 3 or 4 from somerset, south of jtown. Had a house on highland ave. up top in the 800 block. Tons of fond memories growing up there, untill we moved about 14 years later. I miss it but at the same time am glad we made it out lol, cus nothing got any better...

The beginning of the video on Theatre Drive, such memories from my old 'hang out' in high school at the Richland Mall. I walked all those streets around there a million times. I escaped JTown in the 80's and never looked back.

I live in Altoona & hope to get out west at some point! As a kid I loved winter but now in my 40's winter, cold, and darkness is truly not good on my mental health! Once Spring rolls around though, our area is gorgeous. Seeing the seasons change after winter is awesome to see.

My husband is from johnstown ..we go back for the thunder in the valley..jazz at st marys...the ethnic festival when we can. Very chill..very laid back when compared to the wild wild west of Columbus ohio The community at the top of the incline..Westmont I think....I just adore.

I would say don't do it. I own a house there I can't even give away, no you don't want it because it was broken into twice the damage is 3x what it was worth. And the police wouldn't even show up to investigate in person. It's a lost cause now. Sad because it's a really old house that was built when nothing but farms were there they don't have records of when it was built. Just choose the neighborhood carefully. It's not technically in Johnstown but Dale, that doesn't have its own police department anyone I don't know what happened to Dale PD but it closed it's doors permanently.

When I got clean by choice by the way after rehab I decided to go to a halfway house cuz I wasn't ready to go back home comfortably so John's towns where I ended up and then I ended up going and finishing my degree it pit right there once I got out of the halfway house and I've been back home near Williamsport for about 10 years now and every time I want to use I'm just going to come and watch this video cuz it reminds me of the hell in the darkness and loneliness I felt for that year without my children about my family it's horrible but I knew I had to do it I'm sure the people that I met are all dead by now they told me it's your first time in rehab you'll never ever stay clean you'll be back when they said that to me the first time I thought I'll be damned if I ever get to that point again no way I'm going to prove everybody wrong I've relapsed a handful of times and I've jumped right back on the wagon I'm talking with an hours I have random my mom for my aunt or my gram and just talked basically and remember that this is going to be lifelong unfortunately too many people had to be embarrassed not to be ashamed and have to hide it and once they fall off they can't get back on and they do end up back and rehab over and over and over again unbelievable but thank you for this video
