Hi Wallie! I used to live on Strayer St about a two minute walk from that old branch. That branch was closed a long time ago along with another FNB location on Broad St(about 5 minutes from this location.) FNB consolidated two branches into one by renovating an older Wendy’s on Broad St. That newer FNB branch is still open and it sits in between Sheetz and Giant Eagle. Also, this closed FNB location you’re at was used by a construction company for about a year as temporary offices while they replaced sewer lines around town. My wife and I now live in Pittsburgh and we are big fans of your content! Hope I could help answer some history questions on this one 😃.

I'm sure someone broke in there thinking they might find forgotten or hidden treasures & were sadly disappointed ! It's a cool building.

Those pumps at the Gulf station are super old. Those were around when I was very young. You never see those anymore. I haven't seen them in years. It looked like they were operational too. Cool find.

Johnstown still has many remnants of its better days. Walk around downtown and you'll see some really interesting places, but it's sad that so many businesses have closed.

Hey Wallie , that Galf gas station here is open Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and closed on the weekend so if you want to stop back again and support the place to help keep it running make sure it's during the week between 7am and 4pm , the pumps are off when the station is closed.

West end gulf is open for business. 5 days a week. Great place for auto repair. My family has been going there since the 60s. Unfortunately a lot of the old gas stations are gone. As well as many banks... banks usually close when the money runs out. Thanks for the video..and the owner of the gas station won't sell the big sign. He lights it up at night. It still works

I'm glad they're still doing well with business. That would be neat to see the Gulf sign lit up at night!

The bank where I bank at, was a First National Bank for over a century, but FNB decided to close that branch. It didn't stay closed for long at it is at a corner thats the main corner of my town. The current bank is great! As I said, great location, friendly bank tellers, and they like to show off the building's history! (I love history!)

Hi Wallie. Any chance you can come to both Manahawkin and Barnegat NJ. Manahawkin has an abandoned KMart and McDonald's. The McDonalds if you were able to get in is probably really disgusting. In Barnegat there was a RiteAid that just closed and has a fresh label scar.

The one on the upper half of Main is closed because we have a much larger one down the lower end of Main street across from the Transit Center and they chose to close the upper main location because they had a larger bank down the street , but even though the upper location is closed it's still monitored to keep people away from the building so burglaries don't occur.

Banks have a habit of merging. When two banking companies merge, there will be redundant locations and some will be closed, or sold to another banking company. Could be there's another 1st National branch nearby. The A/C on the little drive-through building? Could be it was originally manned with a part-time teller, creating the need for A/C. As business slowed down, full-service was no longer feasible.
