This is pretty sweet model. I bought mine about 6y ago. I usully fly mine on 3S 800mAh. Back then it was 99€ and now days it's 50% more thanks to component shortage during the pandemic. 🙄

I flew one of these two days ago and it was a huge disaster! I'm sure it was me, not the plane but I'm not sure what was wrong. It felt like I had practically zero (pun) aileron or elevator control. I think it might be nose heavy? are the red dots on the top of the wing the CG? mine is a fair bit forward of that. I was using a 1500 2s. It stayed in the air for over a minute. It would roll to one side or the other and I could not roll out. It was never level. I ended up bonking it into the ground nose first and broke the prop.

Red dots are way too far back, I show in my build video where the cg is, Im impressed with how great this flies.

@@JohnVHRC Thanks, I did see where you mentioned it should be in your video. That is about where I had it. I need to really look it over carefully. I was shocked how badly mine flew. Something must be way off but I'm just not seeing it. I bought it used but I think it had never been flown, it looked like new until I ruined it. I'm determined to figure out what went wrong. It was incredibly un-stable in pitch and roll. I was lucky to get it down without a major incident.

@@schmitty1944 Strange, typically if its unstable its either super nose or tail heavy, Id be curious to see what you find out.

@@JohnVHRC Thanks for your input. I will update when I figure it out. It will have to wait for me to get a new prop and better weather. One fatal mistake I made was it was not a nice day when I flew it. It wasn't very windy but raining a little. Never good to do a maiden flight in less than ideal conditions. I think I really expected it to be easy and was caught off guard by how badly it went.

Update: After repairs and a new prop (I used a Dynam 3 blade I already had) I took it out for another test flight in the snow. I had determined it was tail heavy and added 1 ounce of lead in the nose. I don't have the manual so only guessed where the CG was before. I also don't know if mine is a V1 or V2 but I did notice the V2 specifically says "improved CG location". Anyway......It flew great. Pretty much like yours does in the video. I am a little surprised how far forward the CG needs to be and how much difference it made. Mine weighs 509 grams total with a 2s 1500 lipo. A little heavy for its size. Overall a nice model but I think it's less impressive than the similar size Alfa models I still have that are 20+ years old.

Nice, but i wish someone would make a bigger one, say 1800 mm or bigger
