Well I didn't use save states(not sure who started this rumor), but I definitely did do "something" in order to prolong the 25 days of normal game time, keep in mind that when I started this 91 game I had no idea that after another 25 days the game will come back, that was only worked out during my game. In terms of gameplay it's comparable to any other game of cotd, just that no black screen at 25 days, in the future I'm just going to wait out the 25 days until it comes back as that's a much less controversial option ;)

Reminds me of all the controversy that persists even today about using "legitimate-hacked" Pokemon against other players. Just because you're saving several hours by creating your own team out of thin air doesn't mean you're automatically invincible. You still absolutely need the knowledge and skills to use them. That being said, I hate to think that some people won't be satisfied if you don't include a literal 25 day, 600 hour-long recording of a black screen with your next run >_>

Yeah feel the same it's boring for me. The only maps that i try high rounds are the ones that the strat it's base on improving and not doing determinated moves like verruckt. Verruckt is based on go and use the traps but you need to improve a lot to do that. Another example of this is mob of the dead because the cafeteria and time square because there are not easy training spots and the strategy is base on survive until the trap goes out and then use the trap again and repeat.

Does the VR-11 instakill work with flopper explosions? If so, I'm curious how effective it would be to keep the Waffe for longer by instakill flopping for max ammos. I reckon the kill speed would be a bit lower than the WR run but it would theoretically require less VR-11 tradeouts. Might be too dangerous/require too much coordination to be viable.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, in advance. I assume for these 24+ hour runs, the player is taking breaks to sleep/eat/drink/etc.. When they are recording, do they let it keep recording the pause menu and submit it as such? What I mean is when they submit the footage to world record sites, do they include unedited footage of, let's say, 6 hours of a paused screen? I'm just interested if editing is allowed or not. You can get 100 on this map. I’m 100% positive if you shoot s zombie 3 times with the papped VR-11 a horde can be killed in 3 shots. So how would we do high rounds? Camp light house till about 30 and proceed to flop+waffe+ray+scav till 60-70 and then move to vr-11 kills and then pap and you’d be able to kill about 6 hordes + 8 zombies per vr-11

Lmao you don't need 50 days to get to round 100 solo, call of the dead is actually super easy after like round 10. If you complete the easter egg solo you can use the wunderwaffe after killing George instead of a death machine, meaning you only need an upgraded L9 (to kill George in a few shots, way more efficient than the scavenger), a scavenger until 50+, ray gun, and jugg + PhD flopper to go high rounds in litterally no time. People play this map way too slow and it's honestly embarrassing

In other games, save states allow you to reload in order to get perfect rng. Don’t know if that happened here but that’s why most games have a TAS (tool assisted speedrun) category

why not just use the wunderwaffe dg2 from two player easter egg(which is easy as hell) and use the vr11 and abuse the ice shard AOE(which is the hidden trap on the map) that you have when using the scavenger in the water. People completely underestimate the easiness of call of the dead simply because they lack destructive imagination. You can have possibly four wonder weapons like the ray gun, scavenger, vr-11, and wunderwaffe dg2, two of which are infinite dmg like the dg2 and the upgraded vr-11 and one of those four like the scavenger upgraded can completely demolish George and 24 horde clusters in the water with absolutely no problems. NOT TO MENTION I have a coined strategy called the crawler party with the upgraded ray gun that allows me to upgrade and grind box free of runners for incredible time saving for wonder weapons' rerolls. ALSO, PHD FLOPPER is incredibly broken against crawlers which I abuse with my upgraded ray gun which keeps my upgraded ray gun at maximum kill potential for high rounds since you can make essentially a crawler factory with just one shot to the legs on zombies even on high rounds. So basically, wunderwaffe has a kill max of 432 and ray gun upgraded with the perk PHD flopper can have a kill max of 960(while doing crawler party), vr-11(when shot at teammate with lmg and mule kick) has a kill max of up to 600 when upgraded and scavenger upgraded has a kill max of possibly upwards of 900 while abusing the ice shard AOE dmg. So yeah... This map is child's play when done correctly.

You keep saying that people believe he's using save states but you don't ever provide any evidence. Also I think they should be allowed. Skill is the same and this opens the door for far more extreme zombies run. Why can't players just use VM snapshots to save the game, and just restore the snapshot if they die? Obviously that should be considered cheating but might be easy to get away with. If your restoring from the same exact moment splicing shouldn't be an issue.

I got to round 79-81 solo just using the upgraded ak74u & buying ammo at bottom of lighthouse while training.. every 2 rounds id get the wonderwaffe from George and that’d speed things up quite a bit. And I was playing on Xbox 360 back in the day, took me about 3-4 days with the game on pause over night. Oh, and sometimes I’d keep the wonderwaffe for like an entire round or two because I’d get lucky with max ammos..

It resets after 78 hours on this map actually, but that’s not what he’s talking about. After 25 days of having the black ops APPLICATION open, whether or not you pause the zombies game, the application will turn black.

Klumzy Kervin they have some tactics like stalling a zombie on a window with taped down controllers and on pc some vpn is used like hamachi or radmin to get local pausing. Theres a lot of ways to “pause” in the game

I reached round 42 with the ak74u on this map, died because I knifed the horde....

Issue with the vm thing is he would have to be on linux to use his vt-d not sure if vbox and vmware can do that
