I love your videos i just recently found your channel from neemor's so now I'm catching up on your videos, I always use to wonder about altitude sickness, I had never gotten it before, but had hiked with people who did get it. When I hiked over Forester pass on the JMT at 13,200 feet and felt fine I thought nothing of it, but that last 500 or so feet up Mt. Whitney was the hardest of my life, after the "windows" and up I felt sick to my stomach head was pounding and nauseas. It was so bad, it taught me to feel more compassion for people who get it at super lower altitudes(like as low as 7-8,000 feet)

I might have a stress fracture. *chuckles You're videos are prime cause it's not your typical vlog with unnecessary commentary or shots. Love the shots and description of the terrain!

O.K. rattle snakes, poodle dog bush, black bears, and a mountain lion. I thought I might like to try this someday, but I'm changing my mind. I was hiking Mt. Adams a few years ago and I had the feeling I was being watched from above. I don't know if I could take that for 2600 miles.

+Dan Bolton it's much more of a mind game than there being any significant danger. it is very normal to be paranoid in a new environment. the more time you spend there the less anxious you get. (hearing animals in the night still always gets my blood pumping, though)

+Chaser22 thanks! kennedy meadows at mile 700 is the spot for northbound thru hikers. then you can send it away if you hitch out at sonora pass or at echo lake / south lake tahoe a little bit later.
