Fact is, these mega carriers are advertising that there’s nation wide driver shortages and they are still packing their company sponsored trucking driving CDL school. A lot of the CDL schools get student tuition paid for by the county that you reside in. Mega carriers are advertising that they have driver shortages nation wide. A buddy of mine works for a mega carrier and he says it all the time that they have driver shortages. I says to him, only reason why the freight rates are so low is because we have way too many trucks on the road compared to loads available. He tells me if there was no severe driver shortage, then why do they have so many trucks parked in the yard with no drivers. He says they have too many trucks and not enough drivers to operate them. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ I tell him, the reality is, we have too many drivers sitting idle and looking for work, and your company wants people to drive your trucks for less than minimum wages is the reason for your driver shortages. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨
