Join me at Waterwise Botanicals and on a Walkthrough of My Next Succulent Project

Today we stopped in Oceanside to get a fresh look at our next design space. I like to do this on occasion to to make sure I purchase the correct amount and color of rock. It’s important to take into consideration the color of the house and color preferences of your clients. With all of that taken into consideration, Greg and I headed to Waterwise Botanicals in Bonsall and got to shopping. The selection of succulents and non succulents alike are huge here. Waterwise has a stunning assortment of succulents. So glad I live several hundred miles away with my money. I couldn't not buy. Your installation looks great to this non OCD eye. Looking forward to seeing how you and your DFS crew "paint" those blank canvas areas into living ART. So fun and inspiring to see the entire process. You are a fantastic art, color, and design, teacher.

That's a good example of what happens with palms. They eventually grow so tall they offer no privacy. I read that they take off after 8 years and that's what mine did. So anyone who has them I'd suggest you get them chopped down before they reach eight years.

How do you know if you are or are not running your soil against foundation? And what is thatch?

A little investigation with the working end of a shovel will tell us where we’re at in regards to foundations and footings. Thatch refers to root mass from former plants that have been removed.

I don’t know of any succulent wholesalers in LA. I have all of my plants shipped up from San Diego.
