Succulent Coral Reef Garden Installation Day 3

The team and I were hard at work today planting the rest of our foundation plants and tapestries. Hannah, Kev, and Mel all helped with the tapestries. Gordon and Greg worked on irrigation and lighting. The rock tomorrow is going to take this installation up another notch! Coral reef in full effect! i have only just discovered the cactus/succulent obsession/addiction about 5 months ago, a 40 y.o male that had never been interested in gardening and now i have gone absolutely crazy on cacti and have around 200 variations now and maybe 50-60 different succulents, i live in New Zealand and everything grows great here, i must admit since i ran across your channel a month ago, i have binge watched alot of your content and its a wealth of information and great ideas and tips, keep up the great work, AND DAMN this arrangement looks good so far :)

I just love how as you as you change the angle of view, it’s all still so dynamic! Usually the garden is best viewed from one or two areas, but this just ebbs and flows in such an incredible way 💕💕💕

Question: Is it damaging to trim roots after removing the succulent from its nursery can? I read that I should clean off the dirt around the roots with water then leave the succulent to dry for a few days before planting, Is this also damaging to the succulent?
