Good for you taking some time off ❤❤❤ I'd love to see more Sienna schooling updates. Personally I'd rather watch the un-pretty bits and watch how people go about improving it. And I think she's looking fabulous, genuinely! Especially considering the journey you two have been on

Thank you ☺️ I am happy to take any trot work in the school at the moment.

I'm working right through Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year's. Fingers crossed that you find the key to Sienna. Glad you have had some progress together. I have no suggestions.

Sorry to hear you’re working throughout Xmas. Thank you, we will keep quietly working away.

Oh dear, poor Sienna, and poor you. Sorry if I missed you saying so, but what bit and noseband are you using? My lad had terrible issues when I first bought him, process of elimination and my "Dr Dolittle Act" I sussed out that he has a low palette (sp?) so a jointed bit jabs him in the roof of the mouth, and the bars of his mouth are narrow so a double jointed bit was no use, and he has plump cheeks, so a tight noseband doesn't help. I went back to basics and put him in a flexible rubber snaffle, and no noseband and problems solved! Also his saddle was an nth too far forward and cramping the movement of his shoulder, which was making him tense, and making him trip constantly.

She just wears a Micklem bridle but noseband is super loose. Bit wise we have played around with a fair few, and she seems to react the same whether it’s jointed, straight bar, straight bar with port, fixed or loose ring. So have stuck with the ns turtle top which seems to be the best of the bunch currently. Saddle was fitted for her but is due a check and re flock in the new year.

@@EJMEQUESTRIAN Have you made an appointment with a horse dentist?

@@EJMEQUESTRIAN hackamore or other bitless type bridle? I bought one for my lad, but the rubber snaffle worked so I never used it. With the saddle you check that there's a small gap between the point of the horse's shoulder, and if there isn't, then you move it back a centimetre/half and inch or so. Made all the difference for us 🙂

@@Error-wp1ub she sees the dentist every 6months and has done since she was 3 (when I purchased her) and every time her teeth are good. Dentist is top notch and has looked extensively and every time he says it’s nothing to do with her teeth.

@@Siobhan_Shivaun I have tried bitless and was better with the tongue acrobatics but still tense. Saddle is good, I’m pretty sharp on saddle fitting, saddler always says I could be a saddler ☺️. We had an interesting and positive session today which I’ll mention in a vlog.

Have you tested her for pssm? My horse was the same and a test came back positive for pssm1. He's worse when the grass is sugary and has to be kept ticking over with regular movement and a laminitic diet, or he looks totally bridle lame if he has a holiday. Even so, he's still very stiff and struggles for the first half of our schooling sessions.

I’ve certainly thought about it and looked up the symptoms a few times. Probably worth testing her. Though I’d say she is better to ride when not ridden much and sadly her sessions don’t tend to improve the more the session goes on the worse I find her but going to speak to my vet. Thanks

At the risk of you thinking I've become one of your stalkers (4 comments in 2 weeks) I'm very intrigued by your videos and have a suggestion. Viz : quality over quantity. Indirectly I've already suggested some videos you could do on your other channel and it occurred to me that if you are getting short of ideas do fewer videos! Or... as another commentator said a few days ago...your videos are increasingly more about you than the horses. If this be true then there might be a rich vein of interest to be mined by telling us about (say) how you got into horses in the first place.... incidents ( falling off etc)... all of which you can talk about publically without endangering your privacy because you can control the narrative.

😂😂. Oh totally, if there’s nothing to film, I won’t. Though hopefully this video was more about Miss Sienna than me. Re telling past events, they are probably already documented on the channel. There is nearly 4 years worth of videos. 😁 But thank you for the suggestions.
