Love seeing all the older/veteran horses this year! I think the contestants have been so well chosen too, a real great variety of riders who all seem lovely and really interesting 😊🙏 thought the format for this year sounds like itll be really good too, a lot of effort gone into it, you can tell that H&C have listened to feedback from last year with eliminations etc. Meg and Tina are a brill choice too.

H&C, I don't have social media so here is where I can share my 2 cents and I'd like to say that I have been quite disappointed with this years All Star Academy. It's a shame as I look forward to it so much and loved previous seasons, however this season there seems to be less and less horse/horse riding filming and more emphasis on the social media and sponsor inclusion side of things. I've just watched episode 4 and the episodes seem so rushed and clipped back, I could not believe how clipped Pammy's dressage demo was, what a disservice to her incredible talent. I think 3/4 of the episode time should be the contestants riding/learning then the remaining time can be something else, I mean I'd rather watch way more of the school master challenge for example than people running around a shop, that kind of 'entertainment' is everywhere these days in media, please for the love of christ don't go down that route with the All Star Academy, H&C you're better than that.

Thanks for watching - glad to hear you enjoyed! Only one more week to wait until episode 2...! As we've mentioned in a previous comment, our selection process really does span a vast number of factors - we have a really hard time picking from all the fabulous applicants we receive. However, we don't think Jade's previous TV experience (short lived, may we add!) really makes her exempt from being an 'everyday equestrian' and super fun contestant. She, and the awesome Eddie, earned their places on the show for a wide variety of reasons.

Great the show is back but the way h and c go out of their way to choose the cast based on skin colour age and gender is disgusting. Every year : 2 blokes a person of colour and an older person! Should be chosen on the best audition not gender and skin colour !!!!

Thanks for your comment - sorry to hear that you feel our selection process is "forced". However, to clarify, we have a huge range of selection criteria to choose from including (but not limited to!); horse/rider combination, geographic region, horse/pony breed, horse/pony age, discipline experience, competition background etc. That's without the fun of looking at a blend of personalities, audition submissions and any interesting history or background (on either horse or rider side). We certainly want to promote diversity and inclusion in our programmes - it is really important that we do. BUT, that is certainly not our only consideration when selecting our contestants for a show like this.

Also I feel like jade was only chosen as she’s been on love island and on itv shows etc. just bringing more fame. We want real equestrians . .

@@Horseygirlyponies heres the thing, you don't work on the team that select the contestants. If you have in the past and you have an allegation as serious as this against them then I suggest you deal with that in a professional manner (emailing them ect) however an allegation of them discriminating against colour and gender is very serious and cant just be blurted out in a KZbin comment section. Now I highly doubt you actually worked for the people who select the contestants as the way you went about accusing them of this, instead of an official statement, was very unprofessional, so if you don't then you shouldn't comment on something like this as the way they select the contestants, I'm sure, is not based of of anything to do with there race or gender but instead there riding abilities, love for the animal and passion for the sport (along with other things of course). Don't comment something as serious as this if you had nothing to do with the election process and basically forcing them to respond to you as they cant ignore an allegation such as this.
