I love that you care for the patient first and try to bill insurance after. Such amazing service in a culture is all about taking the easy path.

Insurance has definitely become more difficult in recent years....I am a bilateral amputee like patient you had today.. Symes and conventional BKA , same sides but congenital. Lead a very active life , worked in industry, etc. but retired a couple years ago. I prepared for new set of prosthesis by detailing information for replacement of set while I still had private insurance and gave to doctor for discussion...went through no issues fortunately. I know through long term use that prothesists are having to work much harder to get approval for patients..especially because being reviewed by personnel who do not understand the work area. That shouldn't be an issue you have to address.
