Does Insurance Pay for Prosthetic Legs?

Thank you for providing these informative videos! They are golden. I just got my first liner and tried my first socket. Adjustments were made as I shrunk a little. Next visit, I get the 2nd socket (lanyard suspension). The Prothetist told me to bring my shoe to the next appointment! It's getting getting exciting now. A little training and some practice, and I'll be doing the Riverdance! Well, maybe just the Twist 😂

Thank you so much. This video was very informative. We appreciate you. I was denying my prosthetic by Medicare because of an oversight and the description. Evidently Medicaid got the word that I needed a exoskeletal pylon style when that was not the case my prosthesis was designated the airlock section type I appealed in and now waiting sitting on the couch with one leg anticipating going back to work I didn’t see this coming. It’s terrible.

That is so awful! So much of it is ridiculous delay tactics. I hope it comes though soon if it hasn't gone through yet and you have a good team fighting with you! Glad you found the video helpful.

I live in st.lucia as I have stated before but cannot afford any kind of insurance companies

also they are not able to care and facilitate all of the things needed for prosthetic limbs

Does anyone work/live in a state that Medicaid does cover prosthetic care in a skilled nursing facility?
