Join Redfern Adventures ( www.redfernadventures.com ) for an expedition to the spectacular summit of Mount Roraima, known as South America's 'Lost World'.
This 12-day itinerary is a trekking expedition that involves ascending a ledge up Mount Roraima's cliffsides to spend four days on the summit of Mount Roraima to discover the wonders that the mountain holds: its vast labyrinth of stone pinnacles, caves, the valley of the crystals, the triple-point border between Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil, and of course, unique wildlife, including orchids and carnivorous plants!
This trip includes a day exploring the Gran Sabana, and an optional add on trip to canoe to the base of Angel Falls, the tallest waterfall on Earth.
As a responsible tourism operator, Redfern Adventures will: (1) pay all indigenous Pemon guides a very fair wage, (2) make a donation to the Pemon community (to benefit their school) and (3) we will also hire a rubbish collector as part of our team, to collect litter from the summit of Mount Roraima, to ensure the mountain is in a better state than when we arrive!
Join Redfern Adventures on this amazing expedition to South America's 'Lost World'.

Thank you for promoting tourism in my native Venezuela. Your customers will be thrilled at the landscapes they will see. Canaima National Park has more than Angel Falls, Roraima or Jaspe, but these tours will give your tourists a perspective of one of the most stunning places on earth.

I audibly yelled “THATS FUCKING COOL!” You lucky sob😂 many people have the mile high club in their pocket but not many can say that and still be on land😜 jk idk how high it is but i did yell that out. What does he do for a living if you dont mind me asking? And i ask bc im a firm believer in things such as names, places, etc etc have a part to play in who you become. And i just imagine the dude born from being conceived on this has to be a badass of SOME sort.

I thought I was about to see a documentary, created by a lucky select handful of scientists who were allowed access to the mountain, so we all around the world can vicariously experience it too. But I was kinda squirming when they mentioned "picking up trash, so that they leave it better than they found it", indicating to us that there is litter strewn about on that mountaintop. Imagine my shock when at the end they said "Join us for a tour!", inviting all of us to join them on the once sacred mountaintop. That place is doomed. If you want to get lost, don't go there. Busy, busy, busy.

Where does that water come from that falls off the cliffs?? I don't see a way for such big rivers to make their way up there? xDD I mean yeah, clouds, but there's all these epic photos where it's all sunny and there can't possibly be that much cloud-water on top of there.

Mount Roraima is surrounded by three different countries (Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana) whose borderlines intersect on the massive shelf, with all four sides being sheer 400-meter high cliffs. Mount Roraima is composed of sandstone of the Proterozoic Eon formed about 1.7 to 2 billion years ago, therefore among the oldest rocks on Earth. It contains a large amount of quartz deposits, 98% are silica particles, forming white or pinkish crystals several centimetres long. The summit of Mount Roraima is so otherworldly that it inspired The Lost World. 3:13 [Atlas Obscura; Yourweather]

Under the gaze of the immense tepuys, the Earth evolved, changed, moved, sculpted beaches, mountains, and deserts, displaced men, and imposed challenges. Anonymous and eternal witness of this trajectory, the Monte Roraima climbing is a magical place where silence emits sounds, stones move, and life travels in a breath of wind. 4:04 [Planeta EXO]

I think there are other undiscovered species up there on that plateau there may be prehistoric ones that are still alive and I want to see every last one of them the only way you won’t be able to find them is that you’re not looking hard enough so I want people to spend the night up there until they find some living prehistoric creatures and proof that sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s tale is not mere fiction

I'm not experienced generally with this but this area got me interested after being in the area around there.
