Interesting, and well made. Can i ask something please. If there was like x9 of these. Could they be fed from one pipe and have x9 spinning fly wheels ... these could then be connected to small generators?

Make a pocket steam turbine charger(5 watt) for phone with the boiler on the wood or gas
@PunakiviAddikti
@PunakiviAddikti 6 жыл бұрын
Max Jonson Making it a pocket charger would be very impractical, as it would have to be upright at all times and you'd have a fire in your pocket. If you want power in your pocket, get a 20000mAh power bank. They cost a lot but can charge your phone from zero to full up to 10 times.

I think you've missed the point. Of course a steam turbine phone charger would be impractical, and not exactly he sort of thing you'd carry in your pocket. But it would be cool !! Amazing to watch being built, a brilliant achievement, and a great talking point ! Sometimes you do things because you can, not because it's practical.

Don'build it, you give 3 times less air for each motor so you get 3 times less power, the you add the friction these "upgrades" add you end up having less speed and force than originaly
@joshmdmd
@joshmdmd 6 жыл бұрын
that depends on whether the loss to friction is more than the gain in transmissible force, as there is always one piston firing and power is more even.

I do not expect the RPM to be any different, assuming you can supply enough air to keep all the engines fed.
@mastudio8301
@mastudio8301 6 жыл бұрын
Hey,
@LukasBonny
@LukasBonny 6 жыл бұрын
The rpm is given by the torque and the resistance of the motor and flywheel. So, if you supply 3 times as much air, the RPM will be around 3 times as high without any load, a little bit less since more friction. If you attach a load the torque is higher than with only one engine, thus driving the load with more RPM. If you where to get the engines to run at the same RPM, the i3 would get more torque. In other words: RPM and Torque will be same same, if you supply the same amount of air. But the i3 engines can of course take more air, since it has 3 times the displacement.

Something you may like.. we call them huffer puffer engines, based on OLD Centrifugal force wheels,. The engines Start with a Push of the Wheel, and only ADD force as the wheel slows down..Very high torque.. It was a design used on OLD trackers, to use as a Generator and make other systems work..from Tractor to Wood cutters.. Another is how the OLD steam engines worked, by passing the Steam pressure Onto the NEXT cylinder..Which was abit smaller then the 1st.. as the Pressure cooled it was STILL enough for the next cylinder..
