hi, did you have a hard time turning the handle when you first received this machine? Does it need oiling? Mine is very hard to turn?

Electric? Check the motor release screw is tightened fully. This can cause the gears to be off slightly, if that nut is a bit slack, so check it’s tight. The balance wheel is generally stiffer than the hand operated one because it is attached to the belt and motor.
