Funny story from my basic training experience. I had missed some training that the company commander was taking me to. We were walking down sidewalk when first sergeant passed us going opposite direction. The top sergeant salutes the Captain. Then the private green horn returns salute to sergeant. Bad move. Push up time. Those two had to have a good laugh over that one.

#TeamSwartz One last question, when you’re done with AIT my recruiter told me that there’s contracts available to go Full Time anywhere from 6months to a year. That way our benefits like VA home loans would activate. Can you go a little more in depth on how that works? Is it hard to get approved for a contract?

#TeamSwartz I took my Asvab about 3 weeks ago and my Medical 2 weeks ago. Dr said I was good to go but my question is my recruiter said that I have to wait until my Family Care Plan gets signed by a general which typically gets signed on Wednesdays, I’ve been waiting for almost two weeks and haven’t heard back yet and i need that signed off in order to enlist. Do you know what’s the time frame? I want to start my military career but that’s what’s holding me back.
