Other team was very bad. They even did not bother you when you had no units. I do same building order sometimes but when I do that other teams attack me in first 10 minutes.

The problem is the other civs are known to be great imperial age civs and still couldn't stand a chance in the imperial age. If you let imperial age civs turtle, you should be in trouble. That's when you know it is broken.

chinese maybe great imp age civ but ottomans can counter chinese always even though when ottomans is not strong like this. Other civ is english and I can't say that it is one of best imp age civ, it is kinda rush civ, make archers ram and go for other player. I just say when I do that building order they attack me in 10 or 12 minutes, I see 40 military units and some rams attacking me. Great bomber need nerf but other than ottomans is not broken at all. Some players do not know how to play against ottomans. Just make man at arms and ram destroy military schools gg for ottomans thats it. And Ottomans can not counter this because there is no unite for counter to man at arms at age2. I played ottomans so much I know every tactics for it and believe me I tried to stop man at arms rush with sipahis I got armor upgrade and I got armor bonus from mehter, it did not work. Otto is weak against maa in age2. If otto rushes age3 still its weak for 5 minutes because when it rushes it has no army for 5 minutes. You can kill it.@@davidt02

This doesn’t count Drongo, the other team was so weak, it makes your civ OP. You gotta play the same tactics (Otto) against a worthy opponent and the. Make this argument (dark side , Otto is OP and so on..)

I wonder if the other guys actually did their micro better, like not bunching up the longbows and actually move their springwalds just out of range of the bombard to bait them away from the archers, would they have done better. Or do a coordinated attack on the jannis with longbows + zhugenus, then have a small squad of light horsemen/firelancers to finish up the bombards after the Jannis are out. I don't think Drong and Fitz have anything to counter, nor the economy to absorb a sustained attack.

if you calculate the worth of the free units in ottoman, its actually quite underpowered. only good for low level players that can't macro.

@@Abraktil check winrate stats on all ranks. Ottomans usually have about a 55% winrate. They should be nerfed obviously but I wouldnt say they are really op.

This is a leisurely team game against amateurs. Means nothing. The Great Bombard is in a good spot and is one of the few truly unique, fun units in AoE4

Ottoman is balanced. sushi's legacy bombard-imperial guard-choke nuke combo however, completely IMBA, people just havent realized yet. the sushi's legacy splashbards are better than the ottoman version. the slugishness on the ottoman GBB is completely abusable, though below conqueror 3 people cant do it, and even at conqueror 3, most dont know how to. but as a GBB-Jani-cavalry user from the very start of ottoman, its not that hard. just a completely different way of battling than people are used to.

Limit to 3 max, and you can only build through the MIA. Or effectively cap them by only building through MIA w/ a 5-6 min production time. Let them build standard bombards in siege. Issue is that if you accumulate a GB blob, most of which are free through the MIA, you literally dont even have to engage the enemy w/ actual troops. You just defend the GBs and they roll infrastructure in single shots. If they dont make changes to numbers, or production time, they have to like significantly decrease their fire rate, or make them incredible slow to move/set up. Mongols get the Huihui Pao; but you randomly get them only from one landmark. You never see a massive blob of Huihui Pao. I dont know why the GB should be treated differently really.

Who knows. Some of the community were super stuck in their ways and viewed any non aoe3 content as blasphemy when he wanted to cover 4 in the beginning. I myself enjoy aoe3 but get annoyed at the way they are sometimes. Wordlessly kicking non euro civs from lobbies and whatnot

Damn… so, what’s the fix here? Maybe limit of 5 bombards, maybe the academy has 3 new vizier techs in addition to the +2 cap and one vizier tech is insta bombard plus +2 cap… so you’re forced to choose between Mehmed free bombards limited to 5 vs you need to build them but you can go 7 and one’s free?
