Joining the dots of older homelessness: A transdisciplinary understanding of the structural landscape across 3 provinces
Concurrent mental and physical ill-health, substance use, frailty, and social exclusion contribute to escalating housing precarity and homelessness in older Canadians. Although older adults often fall through the cracks in current care systems, promising evidence-based innovations do exist.
This seminar presents on intersecting determinants of health as well as innovative approaches in encampments and supportive housing to promote well-being with older people experiencing structural vulnerability and complex health needs.
