Floor 8 upgraded creative ai into floor 11 amplify. There was potential for a crazy run that ended halfway through act 2.

Reprogram+ is quite good. The main reason we don't see more reprogram runs is that you are very likely to be offered focus scaling before you are offered reprogram.

reprogram+ is good but damaging the effectiveness of 2/3s of your card pool is really bad. In order for reprogram+ to really be worth picking is if you have the ways to make sure you can consistently recur or duplicate your reprogram to get your numbers where you need them, before you take it. If you take reprogram before you have the card manipulation support for it to replace all your other scaling, you end up either having a curse in your deck that might one day be good, or you have a good card that turns 2 or more cards in your deck into curses after 1 use. Thats also not mentioning that it really badly needs the upgrade. Its a card that can win runs by itself with the right set up, but is rarely the optimal choice. @@Robot_With_Gender Reprogram does not make 2/3s of your card pool bad. Lots of cards in Defect's pool work well with reprogram+, including very powerful commons whose only weakness is their low output.That includes, quite remarkably, compile driver. Many commonly held beliefs about reprogram are wrong. I've heard you dont' want orbs with reprogram; you typically do want a fair variety of orbs with reprogram, because each one is another card drawn whenever you play compile driver, another hit from barrage, another energy point from fusion... I've heard you absolutely need card bounce; but when your 1 energy common attack draws three cards and hits like a truck... what do you need hologram for? It is nice to have one, to have a few, sure, but it is not a must have. I've heard reprogram makes sense when you have hyperbeam or orange pellets; those things have zero sinergy with reprogram. Also, one you said yourself: that reprogram is a curse early game. But all your strikes and defends like reprogram, only two cards from the basic deck do not get along with it immediately, most commons work well with it, lots of uncommons work well with it... Early game defrag is more of a curse than reprogram, honestly (btw, it isn't). Reprogram from the whale is actually very powerful.

I never realized that with Echo Form in play, if the first card only plays once because the enemy it targeted dies, the next card is played twice instead!

Same with any card duplication effect, since it doesn't actually apply until after the card effect has been done, and if the target is dead, then it doesn't trigger.

I thought kill bonus effects (Hand of Greed, Feed, etc) worked on the first form of Awakened One? I'm fairly certain I've gotten the extra HP with Feed before, but you didn't get any gold with Hand of Greed here.

It's true pellets generally isn't what you need on floor 4. However, neither is genetic algorithm. The hand of greed over pellets was crazy to me.

I'd personally gotten hand of greed and pellets and removed regret later, hand of greed scales with it's value sure but off the bat having that kind of attack as Silent or Defect is huge, and the money can change runs, but pellets can just solve your scaling so easily, and with many powers already. However, I think Hand>Pellets there, so the choice is mostly about regret.
