Very nice run! Sad to see no Holograms, but honestly may have just slowed you down in your rampage. Also interesting (thematically) that Hyperbeam hits both Shield and Spear, as they're surrounding you, rather than lined up in front of you. I guess Defect could just jump up and do a quick 360 spin while doing a hyperbeam, but seems it would be less effect on both enemies.

Fun fact about the etymology of "colonel" (since chat was discussing that at the end): The spelling is from French, but the pronunciation is from Italian. In the past, both spellings and pronunciations were used interchangeably, but at some point the "R" pronunciation become more common, and for some reason when English spelling was more or less standardized, the L spelling was selected. This R/L alternation is very common in Romance language (and cross-linguistically too). When you consider the Romance L, which is only articulated at the tip of the tongue, and the tapped/trilled R, also articulated with the tip of your tongue, it makes sense that the two would sound similar and be mixed up in many circumstances (especially in between two vowels).

As someone whose native language uses "front R", I can confirm: when children here learn to spell it, they go through the phase of using "L" instead - until they get that trill down.

What a coincidence - after many attempts I just got my first a20 heartbreaker win with reprogram. It was a blast from the start - relic swap into coffee dripper (I was on the verge of dying throughout the first act...), floor 5 dead branch, then astrolabe gave me 2 recycle+ with hyperbeam+. Hologram followed right after (I just wanted to play dead branch nonsense, right?), and finally one card reward later I got reprogram. I have never pivoted so fast in the game before:) I managed to get 2 more holograms soon. You can imagine the rest - needless to say, I had no HP problems except for the heart fight, but then fairy bailed me out. Wild ride.

This run made me.think about the possibility of Meteor Strike infinite. The tricky thing is the card draw. When all orb is plasma orb , every Meteor Strike gave 1 energy , so we have 1 energy to draw cards. But we need 2 card draw card , since they can't draw them self. So unless we have other way to gain energy , it's a bit hard to achieve. Things like Sundial or boost/overclock+recycle may do the job. Or an Enlightenment/Madness .

First rare was a Hyperbeam, good for most hallways and mob elites. Then Reprogram showed up near the end of Act 1 before any real Focus synergy did. This was probably the easiest synergy to try to build around at this point.
