I appreciate these videos. They remind me that even great players stumble. I know I’m not nearly as good as jorbs overall, since I know he’s a lot better at analyzing cards and runs than I am (and has done so for longer), but this made me remember to hold my head up higher. I dunno if this was one of your runs where you reviewed your choices or not, but if it was, I’d love a link to that VOD.

same, just had a5 run with shivs into Time Eater, my winning strategy was just praying and it kinda worked

Shivs can work great with phantasmal, terror, and multiple accuracies. Easy to burst Timbo down. Well laid plans helps a great deal too, helping you hold onto important cards and countering the draw down and the slimed Tim adds. Poison builds, particularly burst catalyst builds, work great too. A few piercing wails and maybe a malaise if you can find should also help a great deal. Hope this helps! Have a great day.

Unless you play poison deck, Silent dmg scale is just... not good, or even bad (need at least 2 Accuracy+ or Shuriken). The problem of shiv deck is you often dont have enough defense layers, as Ornamental fan/Kunai and After image/WF are rare card/relic. I feel the same as Jorb when I have to face Time eater using Shiv deck, you will be struck no matter what tactic prepared, unless you are have a very lucky run. Heart of darkness is hard too, though. Poison > Discard > Shiv > Hybrid deck. From 1k2 hours player, cheer.

I have a question about a meta aspect of the game, how does shuffling work? Does it take your deck in deck order (minus your hand) and then randomly organize it, or does it take your discard pile in discard pile order and randomly organize it? Because if it takes your discard pile in discard pile order and randomizes it, then playing playing cards like Survivor at 0:40 would change the outcome of the draw order when the deck gets shuffled. Suppose instead of playing Survivor you played the right-most defend, then the discard pile order at the end of that turn would be "Defend, Defend, Survivor" but by playing the left-most Defend or Survivor first you ensure the order is "Defend, Survivor, Defend". Before even considering what this would do to the shuffle possibilities, it would be nice to know how shuffle works. Thanks!
