Such a great session mate! I reckon they were tarpon up the back of that creek, but cannot be super sure until you land one! Those gan crafts go well in the creeks! I had a swirl from a small jack a few weeks ago on one!

Thanks mate! Yup, the glides are fun!!! Yeah based on how they were feeding that’s my guess too but the size of then and the way they swirled at the big lure made me think of something different, but you’re right, we’ll never know unless we catch one!!

Exciting compilation of your recent adventures mate. You are becoming a true jack-whisperer here in SEQ, proving that everything is possible if you have the dedication and put in the right effort. Well done and keep ‘em coming! 😉🤗 PS: do you think that the Salmos would stand up in jack land, too?

Thanks mate! Interesting question…I’m sure they would if found in a good feeding mood! They definitely run well in and around timber…would definitely need to upgrade hooks though…but it would be interesting to try them, that’s for sure!!

Well done mate 💪🏼 I do chase jacks my self on the kayak and I totally understand what you mean. I live in the Gold Coast and I mostly chase jacks around here. If you are nearby would be cool to fish together sometimes. Addicted to jack fishing

Thanks mate! I’m glad you enjoyed the content. Jacks fishing can be very addictive hey! I don’t like mentioning the areas I fish in social media but I’m not near you by the sounds. Would love to chase some Gold Coast jacks one day though…

Awesome little creek session mate, I reckon your spot on with tarpon mate. If you tie on a small crank like the atomic or a small prawn they're awesome fun on light gear. Great catches mate

@@CreeksessionsWithJD thanks Jacob! I did try with smaller presentations but they refused…🤷🏽♂️

Great video Ramon, I couldn't say what the silver one was but it looked pretty big.
@Off_The_Top_FishingАй бұрын
Thanks Mark, I know, they weren’t huge but definitely decently sized, I’d say around 45-50cm at least! And swam fast! Even on slow motion (20% of real speed) it is hard to see them well

Nice one mate!! Do you get archer fish down your way? I thought that fish could possibly be an archer. Beautiful jack man well done 👍🎣
@Off_The_Top_FishingАй бұрын
Thanks mate! As far as I’m aware there’s no archer fish in SEQ, and those fish were around the 45-55cm mark I’d say…my guess was little creek GT’s but the way they were feeding off the surface made me think possibly tarpon but then the fact that they hit me twice in that first cast over the boils but then, even running different presentations while they were clearly feeding, they never touched another lure (big, small, top water, plastics, etc) made me think probably small Barra 🤷🏽♂️
