Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 Departs Cheyenne, WY 2024

Watch as the Union Pacific Steam Crew leaves their home base in Cheyenne to embark on the "Heartland of America Tour," with UP's Big Boy No. 4014. We set up near CPW508 on the East end of town to observe the 4014 as it articulates it's way onto the main line. From there, we hustle Eastbound to a brief stop in Pine Bluffs, directly West of the state line. We soon crossover to Nebraska, where the train carries on towards the day's public stop at Kimball. I'm always staggered by the vastness of the landscape . The goods yard was bigger than most of our towns in the UK ! The first corner in the opening clip ,that must have been right on the limit for the locomotive . Thanks Nick
