Back in the 80's my wife and I saw him in Chicago. He was playing in the winter season and thus much of the concert was from his December album. He came out in jeans and barefoot. It was so cool not to see someone come out in a tux. I think of Windham Hill artists like they were your neighbors. George Winston and his December Album is still my favorite. It's timeless. I am so sad to hear of his passing, but knowing music transcends life itself and becomes a timeless piece where time has no measure. RIP George. I am sure the angels are enjoying his music and one day, I hope through the Field of Dreams, I will see him again.

I was at that concert! He played at a Chicago near-north suburb. Amazing performance, amazing talent.

So! So! Sad today! My favorite pianist George Winston, dead on June 4th from cancer. I am grateful I was introduced to his music back in the '80s by my dear friend Jeff. I am so happy I got to see him at a concert in California. I regret I didn't go see him in Ohio. George Winston Rest Easy! Your music has put my mind in a state of peace and happiness when my world was in chaos and I had to figure the mess out. I'm working on a big project now and need to be creative and was about to put your music on and found out you were gone. Thank you so much for your therapeutic tunes! Your music will live on like the Great Pianist of famous people. Also thank you for donating your proceeds to Feed the Hungry to local foodbanks where you performed concerts. This man was Amazing and will be missed! Autumn kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHzQoqyHiqmYntU is one of my favorite albums. Please listen to all of them and let me know what you think.

I saw him at Kennedy Center in D.C. in 1983. He wore a flannel shirt and wool socks on his feet. The concert was one I can replay in my head even today. What an impact his music has had on my life and the holiday season. What would Thanksgiving be without the December album?
