Honestly I love how Josuke’s first response to hearing he’s Joseph’s bastard is that he apologizes for causing trouble. He’s not at all mad his father abandoned him. I should mention that in Japan, being a bastard child goes on their birth certificate, and is considered problematic in general if they aren't adopted into the "family". Other things vary too; so being a single parent and having children in affairs is heavily discouraged, but not completely unheard of. The ones conceived in affairs are expected to be respectful of the "real" family regardless if they were "adopted" (accepted), and often treated less than a pet likewise.
