The character design goes from hulking bodybuilders to shredded Gucci models. It's really cool see the art progress and develop. I would love to see y'all get some editors and just put a bunch of episodes out. Like two a week (because of how long this show is, especially Part 3). The cringe is mostly just coming from the community, but the show itself is so wild and is also dramatic and deep at the same time, the whole show is an art. The "highschool" arc for JoJo I'd say is the exact vibe that I think would describr the whole show the best. It didn't soften down at all, while it looked like that. This is the first reaction opening I've seen that didnt like that part xD definitely not the worst, just a heads-up once you get into the show. Every Part has its own vibe and story that is not as same as any other parts.

This show is so based and fun. Also, the show frequently changes artstyles, usually from season to season but sometimes even episode to episode. And because there is no canon color pallette to any of the characters in JoJo, there's a lot of experimentation with color even just between versions of characters in the anime or in the games and stuff. It's very eccentric but it's got the special sauce as well.

So to explain, every season has a new protagonist and is usually set in a different time period. The one similarity being that it takes place in the same world and that the main character is always a JoJo, a descendant of the Joestar bloodline. So, Jonathan Joestar or Joseph Joestar = JoJo. It's very easy to understand once you start watching. It's a generational epic.

The colors in this show are amazing. Also, even though it is extremely bizarre at times, I still got extremely invested in these characters and the twists that happen throughout. The show takes itself serious but also balances the silly weird stuff. Part 4 and Part 5 are definitely my favorite. Y'all didn't seem to like the Part 4 OP's too much, but I assure you the art is just as good and unique as Part 5. (I haven't seen Part 6 yet)

I love this show because it just quickly goes off the wall with how insane it is. Favorite character is probably Dio. Man is insanely petty. But the villain in Part 4 definitely is up there too for me. I like them for different reasons. All the villains in the show are great. Main cast too. A lot of people say Part 1 is boring and to skip it(and even Part 2?). No. Part 1 is a bit slow in some areas, but don't do that. Starting off at Part 3 is such a weird decision to me. Imagine if someone was like, "Yeah. I love One Pirce. But I skipped the first 300 episodes because someone told me it was slow". No. I think my biggest problem with Part 1 is that there's a character who explains everything happened. As it's happening or after it happens. But that's also a common thing in Shounen so I can't be too upset. Once the show finds its stride, it finds it. And it's amazing

Josuke manages to follow the “JoJo” rule because the "Suke" (助) in his name may also be read as "Jo" in Japanese. Giorno’s a lot easier to explain though, as the “Gio” in his first and last names are pronounced identically to “Jo” in Japanese. There are two continuities within the series, parts 1-6 and parts 7-9. These two continuities are separate universes to each other, so while the latter continuity has references to and similarly or identically named characters as the first 6 parts, they share no narrative connection whatsoever. The anime is over for now. The studio that produced it(their name escapes me) said they only had plans to animate part 1-6 as that’s the original JoJo timeline. Part 7 - 9(as of writing) are a reboot of sorts and are currently manga only.

Also, watching “1 second from every JoJo episode” is a wild ride, too lol. Be careful tho, “1 meme from every JoJo episode” contains spoilers. The good thing about the 1 second one is it happens so fast you don’t have time to process any of the spoilers lol Do note, the anime is only up to the end of part 6 at the moment, so anything from part 7, 8, or 9 is fanmade (although the fanmade themes for part 7 are spectacular lol)

He looks more like cell, and not to spoil much, but the character has 3 forms and all of them kinda resemble cell. The same time that character was introduced to Jojo was the same time the cell arc of dbz was coming out. The same arch also has a character that looks like Frieza more closely

There are other iconic JoJo musics thats not part of their OP/ED, such as the tune you two hummed in the beginning. Definitely worthy of a listen as well! And I'd totally love to watch ya'll watch JoJo series, especially part 2/3/5. As other comments have mentioned, each "part" stars a different JoJo as the main character, and are in the same universe but with different theme

alot of people would refer to the conductor hat guy as the "jojo" because he is a big player in multiple seasons But each season has a new main character which name can be shortened to the "jo jo" pronunciation. basically each main character is a descendant of the first guy in s1 op which all happen to have some form of "jo" pronounciation of their first and last name "joestar"

Parts 1-6 take place in the original universe which has now been wrapped up in the latest season which is why the final opening was such a good ending point, part 7-9 take place in a new universe and they haven’t been animated yet

1. The visuals/ colors and music, as well as the wide array of characters and overall feel of the show. 2. I would recommend the soundtrack for Monster, almost finished the show. (it has a great soundtrack) 3. It balances humor/ absuratity and tension related to the fights and characters well. 4. The Monster OP is really good (it might just be recency bias), love the true crime mystery thriller atheistic as well as the grounded world.

One of the funniest parts of these blind opening reactions is watching the reactors try to figure out which one is Jojo also yeah, I guess the fact that there are so many memes regarding the anime kind of gives people who haven't seen it the idea that it is a jokey anime (I know that's what NicoB thought when he started the series, at least), but it really isn't
