I see what your logic is but I doubt it. "Dio" is Italian for God, so I would imagine an Italian family using it as a first name would be unlikely. In reality whenever Araki needs to name a non-Japanese character in JoJo he just names it after things from that culture and/or something close enough (like Dio, being named after Ronnie James Dio, an American Heavy Metal singer who also famously sang for the British band "Black Sabbath" for a time.)
