I was just a couple of rows away from the stage and i cant even begin to describe the feeling. Someone in the comments said it felt biblical and its the closest comment to what it really felt like. You cant believe the amount of energy and love and passion in the room that built up. Its completely different when youre surrounded by a whole theatre of people who share the same appreciation for the art of barbershop harmony. Literally everyone i laid eyes on at the end of the song was crying, purely for the sole reason that it was such a beautiful experience. Unforgettable!

this brought me tears. i dont know if ive ever heard anything this beautiful-music has never moved me like that. OC + audience are the cherry on top, wish I could’ve been here

This is just freaking incredible!This absolutely raised the hairs on the back of my neck. Never have I heard anything so beautiful in my whole (75 yrs.) life. Wow. I have run out of superlatives to describe this. My mind is totally blown. I finally cried, it was so lovely.

Wow, that 5:38 chord. So amazing. It's actually the same chord that is hit in the David Wright version of "Love Me and the World is Mine" (same vowel shape too, "Mine" and "mind") and I've yet to see a version of that final chord in the correct key until now. Absolutely stunning to hear it as it's supposed to be!
@jonathan1234911110 жыл бұрын
I don't think there will ever be an example of better singing. The chorus are just perfect and OC Times just kill it, obviously the chord at 5:39 is mind-blowing, but I also really enjoy the 'When Evening Falls' at about 3:08. Just amazing!

@realbigbite9 жыл бұрын
Small Pseudonym lol do you even hear the chord xDDD that note is totally out of place.
@SerramiahmE9 жыл бұрын
redberries I noticed it but it's not a crack. You can watch it also on the Westminter Channel that that falsetto note appeared on that same song.
@smallpseudonym28449 жыл бұрын
redberries It's dissonance, in preparation for the resolution of the chord. Very typical in Barbershop. There's no way someone sustains a "crack" for 5 seconds on purpose. I don't know quite as much as some Bshoppers around here, but I think he's singing the 7th note. You can contrast it against the same falsettoer (based on the quality of his voice) hitting the octave at the end of the piece. (starting 5:50)
@realbigbite9 жыл бұрын
Small Pseudonym that's really odd tbh. I've never heard that note in any of the version on youtube except this one. I remember when, I think if I'm not wrong, they used to hold an 11th chord and not resolve it. Still a little odd.
