Joker was def. a one of my favorite movies. Mostly as it respect the audience as adults. We are getting surprises and moments that showcase the reality of the world. It doesn't go into any unnatural events. We see a real depiction of what happens if you sent to metal hospital for commiting murders. It even show that Harley isn't into Arthur, but was excited for the "Joker" side. The ending isnt bad.. it grounded what can happen in criminal heavy jail. life is pervious and this is what Joker 2 was was about. I hope you all understand. your reaction you have at the end of the movie was directly orchestrated by the director. Arthur himself says it.. He isn't the Joker, you portraying "social bad" as escape-goat from reality.. but don't really care about Arthur Fleck. The movie was never about re-telling Batman villainy arc. It was to show this is what happens if "Joker" was a real person. That's basically why the movie starts with a cartoon. That is what Batman is. A Cartoon. This on the other hand - is the story in reality. Crimes doesn't equal life in luxury. That's basically the joke at the end. The reason you dont LIKE the movie. Is that the movie show what you dont like. But it is not tailor-made for you. Its a directors view on what they want to show based on their own vision.

Saw it earlier, spoilers ahead At the end of the film audiences watch as Arthur returns to prison. Harley has left him, and Arthur is seemingly coming to the conclusion that he isn’t the Joker. This leads to an Arkham inmate approaching Arthur now that he’s back behind bars. During the course of their interaction, said inmate begins telling Arthur a joke. But before Arthur can reach the punchline, this unknown inmate stabs and kills him. What is more, the killer then uses his knife to carve a wide smile on his own face, revealing that he is the “true Joker

I’m thinking this next joker is the one shown at the end of the film and is going to be the one who becomes the clown prince of crime, and the one who Harley really falls for and is obsessed with. Still a chance for her to get a Job at the asylum since shes is free. She also said she had schooling for psychology. The comics always implied there was always more than one Joker so I think this is a cool take on that. I enjoyed the movie and was a cool twist on the end. This movie really showed that Arthur wasn’t the Joker we all thought hence his confession in the courtroom. He had many chances to bring the masses together and start real chaos but that was never really him. Just a disturbed dude in a broken world who started a movement and a Persona of being The Joker.

@coldkun_Ай бұрын
for me, this movie felt like Philips was trying to tell the crowd who saw Arthur as a "literally me" character, we're right. he is literally you. he was dealt a bad hand and lashed out when he was off his meds. he was never a martyr or a symbol of rebellion. he wasnt the joker. he was just a sad man who used his life as an excuse to live out his violent fantasies. to me it was Phillips way of telling the audience, "you may identify with this character, but you are not the Joker. seek help"

5:03 - 5:47 everything you just said I feel the exact opposite on, what makes me like this version of the character is that he's not the traditional version or interpretation of the character, that's why I love these films they're not the same thing we've seen a milion times in the 80 something years Joker has existed, these films are not the comics they're entirely their own things just taking elements, ideas, and characters from the comics but doing something new with them. I'm glad Arther/Joker will never fight Batman or become a criminal mastermind because that's never what he was about and that's okay because he's not the same as the character from the comics and he shouldn't have to be tethered to them. Not a single adaptation of the character is 100% comic accurate and even then there's countless different versions of the character in the comics themselves, why should this one be the exception for being the most different live action version?

Was so worried this would happen. I didn’t enjoy part 1 like everyone else did but like you said, it had great cinematography and well acted but didn’t hit me like it did to most. Saying that, I was kind of looking forward to part 2 to see if I would like it better. Let’s see

Every reviewer I’ve seen talk about this movie has been saying how insane the ending is. I might actually have to check this movie out for that alone!

I was concerned about this. Remember the dancing in the bathroom scene? They made that up when getting to the shoot, because having Arthur freak out & hide the gun wasnt in character. The best parts of that film were Pheonix's performance, the soundtrack & shots, the very blatant inspiration from other films, the exploration of Fleck not as the Joker but as his own character, and decisions made on the fly. That has nothing to do with DC, Harley/Joker, or the comics.

Thanks for doing this review! Just like you, I almost walked out with the first movie. Joaquin Phoenix is one of my favorite actors and I did think he did deserve the award. But I will wait till it goes to streaming. I can easily turn it off if I do not like it. Lady Gaga was the reason I wanted to see the film. She is turning out to be a really good actress. A Star is Born, excellent film.

Joker 2 Is Just a Pointless Sequel, But A Great Performance Of Lady Gaga And Joaquin Phoenix Joker 2's Opening Sequence Is Kinda Great Opening Scene 'Looney Tunes-Inspired Gamble' Some Songs Are Okay But They Just Ruined The Movie, And The Ending Was Insane

As a fan from both the comic and the first movie. This one hits home. Todd Phillips made it clear multiple times that this his own version of the character it wasn’t never meant to be connected to dceu or fighting Batman in general. He’s not even the real joker that we all know !! Joker is a complex character which today fans don’t even fully understand yet and he’s been out for many years! So taking a deep dive finding new ways of the character is something fresh and original. Don’t get me wrong I love the clown prince of crime that we all know but sooner or later fans are going to get tired of the “mob boss” side of joker and want something new. Look at Jared leto’s joker, he was purely a mob boss with makeup on. See where I’m getting at ? It’s like heath ledger’s joker said “it’s not all about the money, it’s about sending a message” I believe this movie delivers a message on how the mind can work in so many ways (and not trusting women)

Just came from watching it, I was obsessed with the first film and genuinely wanted to love this one! But unfortunately no, Lee was nothing but a manipulator to Arthur and I felt so sad for him, I wanted to see them madly in love and Harley genuinely helping her on court but no. I genuinely said "What the fuck" out loud when the credits rolled. I like musicals and don't mind them but there were too many songs for me and Lady Gaga was just playing herself and that's me being a huge Gaga fan.
