@MixerMadness4 жыл бұрын
I REALLY.believe the purpose of this scene was because the audience needed a laugh after the horror and then a. Feel good moment where he let him live, after he says you were always good to me. That’s not the only reason the scene is there. I believe The scene is ALSO there so they didn’t go right from the murder to the stairs scene with that up tempo music. The audience wouldn’t know how to feel, so the producers of the movie wanted you to still sort of have understanding of Arthur even after the murder, and not to resent him all the way yet. That’s why when he lets the short guy go it builds back his good side so now then they cut to the stair scene with that music. If they hadn’t put it there it wouldn’t of come off as well.
@austinberry56964 жыл бұрын
I think when I went to go see it opening night, people chuckled at him trying to open the door and Arthur's reaction, but when he started to walk over, I heard a few "No... no, no no...." And as he was opening the door, silence. Arthur closes the door again, gasps, he leans in and kisses him on the head, silence. Opens the door and lets him out, sighs of relief. God this movie was such an emotional rollercoaster for me haha

For everyone that keeps comparing this movie to Endgame and marvel movies, they’re both good in different ways. Marvel movies are like going to a fast food restaurant with your friends, it’s fun and you can have a great time. This movie is like going to a five star restaurant and really getting one really good quality meal. Marvel really deserves praise for building a story over so many movies and giving it an amazing pay off. But on a filmmaking level, with the themes, cinematography, acting and directing, Joker is just a masterpiece. Honestly they’re both just great and people should stop trying to compare apples with oranges.
@Sal-zs1ob4 жыл бұрын
SaviG exactly. I think that comparing this movie to 22 other different movies isn’t a fair comparison. Joker was made more like a character exploration to madness in a villain. Marvel movies are more light hearted movies that treat different things. The only reason people compare both is because Joker belongs to marvel’s opposite being DC. I loved endgame and other mcu movies and I gotta tell you the joker was fantastic and I wish marvel had done things like this in their last films. Only problem was Disney pulling it down to PG13. Hehe Hehe You’re delusional if you think Marvel isn’t relevant lmfao. The MCU single handedly revived Marvel and made b list characters like Iron Man, A listers. When people are more hyped for fucking Iron Man vs Captain America(which I didn’t give two shits about when I was younger) over Batman vs Superman, 2 of the most ICONIC superheroes of all time...that should tell something. Civil War did better than BVS financially, critically, among fans AND critics. For fucks sake Justice League barely made 30 mill more than Ant-Man, who was a fucking nobody lol. Feige knows one thing. He’s successful as fuck and so is the franchise he has built. Don’t get me wrong, after all I’ve said, I enjoy some DC movies too. The only competition is among the petty fanboys.

@@StopReadingMyNameOrElse We can't know that for sure either. And I think this is what this movie wants. Remember, no one knows Joker's real origin. Wayne's story doesn't matches at all with what was written in that picture Arthur found later in the film. Plus, he's a person powerful enough to had kept his mistress in secret and locked her up, convincing everyone the baby had been adopted. He's a jerk here, so it's still a possibility. Not saying shes wasn't mentally ill tho, the movie makes that very clear. And that's what I love abt it. He still has multiple possible origins. Even birth wise

Ever notice the little clues that showed hints of how delusional joker really was 🤨. For example the movie shows him twirling a sign with joy then all of a sudden the sign is taken and it shows him as a victim. But according to the boss in real life he stole the sign and was chased because of it. Also the movie shows you his prospective with the gun where it was supposedly given to him by Randall. But in real life he actually stole the gun from Randall. Same can be said about the 3 guys on the train. Ever noticed they say that it was a mask but the little guy said “I heard it was face paint”. Thats the movie basically tricking you on what should you really believe. Then when you look at his mirror when he was putting make up on, you see the same clown mask that is showed in the wanted poster. At the end of the movie when he talked about why he killed the 3 it was also hinted at that he killed them “just because” and they weren’t really picking on him. It’s all just in his mind in a sense. It’s like he only wants to see himself as either a “victim” or a “hero”
