Im sure Heath had a big hand in writing the dialogue for this character.. I mean im positive they would have wanted him to deliver the dialogue as comfortably as possible in character.. Most of the dialogue probably went through heath and was probably modified.. And i wouldnt doubt that a lot of the dialogue was also improvised throughout the delivery.. With the way he approached this character, I wouldve wanted him to feel as free as possible and not restricted in anyway during this performance.. Thats why we got what we got for this character.. For a an actor to take on a character like the Joker there needs to be a lot of room for creativity and freedom.. It wasnt just handing him a script and saying "work with this".. It was "take this script as just a rough draft and help us modify it to best fit your expression of the character"

"You have nothing, nothing to threaten me with. Nothing to do with all your strength" This is my favorite sene and favorite lines of all time. That is some TRUTH bomb right there, try to imagine how frustrated and irritated Batman must have felt knowing he was physically stronger and was beating him to a pulp but still could'nt be able to extract info about Rachel and Dent's where about, meaning the Joker could have killed those two whenever he wanted and Batman cant do shit about it. The Joker only gave him the location because it was part of the plan, the plan to turn Dent into one of them, "a freak". Bats had him physically but psychologically the Joker was raping his ass up. The significance of this scene truly defined the philosophical war between Bats and the Joker, the battle of morals and ethics.
@SenoSasquatch5 жыл бұрын
It's also playing into their conversation about Batman's rule. Joker knows Batman won't kill him, so there's nothing for him to fear. Pain is temporary. The Joker from "Under the Red Hood" had a good line that was similar. "What are you going to do, put me into another body cast?"

This film was hands-down Heath Ledger's magnum opus as an actor for his portrayal as Joker. A mid-distance to close second would be Joaquin Phoenix's treatment of Joker. Each actor who has played Joker, from Caesar Romero to Joaquin Phoenix has brought his own flavor, for want of a better way of putting it, to the character. We will *never* see anything like this again in our lifetimes. Enjoy it.
@austinculotta49915 жыл бұрын
The only thing y'all and many others are mistaken with is the belief that Heath was 100% the Joker. He wasn't. He gave the best performance out of all the actors to don the role, but the only thing missing from his personality was a sense of humanity. Comic and even Hamill's animated joker still retains a sense of humanity that makes you see vulnerable sides of him. Ledger said it himself, "Do I look like a guy with a plan? and "I'm like a dog chasing a car, I wouldn't know what to so with it if I caught it." His joker allowed the chaos to be let off the leash and to consume him and he'd follow suit. The comic and animated joker keeps chaos on a leash and leads it. Joker always has a plan, an insane, unpredictable plan normally, but still a plan. But this is the version Nolan wanted Ledger to portray and he nailed every facet of it no doubt. But wayyyy too many people are convinced he's 100% accurate when he isn't. It's not a bad thing at all though.
