She was relatable which is why they had to kill her off. She struggled to do anything correctly and would’ve had to live like some lab experiment the rest of her life. That or remove the tumour but have all the doctors forget who they are and have her forget everything she knows with possibility of death. She was bound to die either way

That's the thing, Joker isn't "insane" as he claims. Being "insane" would imply that he has no control over his actions, no ability to make plans, only impulsive thoughts; but he clearly is capable of making complex plans and leading others...

His "insanity" is more of a sociopathy with perhaps some impulsive mood swings. That's not the same thing as being unable to properly distinguish between reality and fantasy but sadly all these terms fall under the definition of "crazy"... Characterization wise, Joker's at his best when he serves as a foil to Batman. Batman is humble, Joker is vain. Batman is direct, Joker is tricky. So, deep down, Batman is fearless. And, deep down, Joker is a coward.

Both are mentally unhinged and obsessive, character traits born through trauma and tragedy. Both have a shattered psyche. And despite the front Batman puts on, a part of him will always be the scared little boy who watched his parents die. Many would say portrayed like this, the characters are at their best

Basically a small "taste" of what she could have done. Hence why he recovered. Plus this was Justice League and I think its considered some cannon some not?

insanity doesnt necessarily protect someone from psychic intervention. Joker is very good at tricking people and avoiding these things, thats why he suddenly began to fear her when he realized she truly was not scared to hurt/kill him.

depends on the version of Joker, in most incarnations though he does actually know some martial arts, he's just not nearly on the level of peak human fitness like Batman is. Like TotalAnalyst said though, in this scenario, batman was weakened by Ace, so Joker was free to beat him up.

If you want to give benefit of doubt to the lore here (I'm not under any delusion that any of this works this way irl), it's probably because Joker fights with such reckless abandon and chaos that it's hard to actually judge his next move. It's a lot harder to fight someone when they don't care how much they're beaten up about it. Plus, Joker is actually considered a pretty strong hand to hand combatant. Consider also that he faces Batman, arguably the most skilled hand to hand combatant in the world, almost every day and he's bound to pick up some tricks

This is when joker was boastong he was too insane for aces powers to work. Jojer then also learned the textbook definitions of rhe words "insane" and "deranged" and sadly,discovered which one he actually is as ace showed him his inner most nightmares....a world without batman, where joker is a nobody. Total headcanon, but im pretty sure thats what he saw that lead him to just scream. Seeing a normal joker who had nothing grand to live for.
