Joker Folie a Deux: I love every Ounce of this Film. It has so many Layers that many cannot see it directly or need to catch up. The Music was added to make the Relationship between Arthur Fleck and Lee Quinzel romantic. She loved the Joker and not the real Person which is Arthur Fleck. This makes a lot of Sense too (a different Approach of the Relationship with Joker and Harley) that Lee later on finds the "other" Joker and sticks to an Idea of Him. The Plottwist in the End is fantastic. This Film is another great way to reflect on Humanity. What started out as an untreated Disease (or many false Information in the History) led to a false Inspiration / led to a Misinterpretation in the Present. As mentioned, many Audience couldn't see it right away because there are so many Informations at once in this Film. The Music was wonderful sarcastic approach to over all how Humanity copes up or covers a lot through Music. Because sets the Mood of the Emotion and through that we tend to forget or neglect the Objective part of Life. "That is Entertainment" or better said Distraction! Again, what a fantastic Move. Love it!

Hildurs score was absolutely beautiful in such a haunting away. It really transcends you in to all of the dark and dreary scenes. It fit so well, with every aspect of this film and what the scenes were truly trying to convey to the audience. Fantastic choice for the score. #Phenomenal

I think it was intentional ... Because if they had given us a proper Joker movie, people would have been on the side of the villain (The Joker) rooting for him and celebrating his life of crime. If another Joker movie with a different actor would have come out before Folie A Deux, people would have seen every Joker as Arthur and celebrate him, seeing Joker (2019) as his origins story.

I'd didn't flop for me... it's only just opened in australia ...maybe it will do better..but a think this art house/ sycological thriller/ courthouse epic with a killer score can only appeal to a specific audience...It cannot be as brilliant as it is ANd be mainstream ... 5 stars.

The all time greatest version of Joker never happened. Willem Dafoe. Only Veidt, Romero and Dafoe can do the smile for real. And of those three, only Dafoe can imbibe the essence of the Joker. Well, Romero perfectly imbibed the kiddie version of the character, but we're not kids anymore. Defoe. He's too old now, and it's a shame we missed out on that.

33:10 Todd was always playing with the idea that Arthur wasn't going to be "Joker", or the Joker that would face Batman. Controversial take on the character but he was always throwing this idea around in his head. Just wish he actually portrayed this more up until the ending of Joker 2.

Todd said, "He could _not_ be the Joker _OR_ Arthur." He's referring to the fact that _Joker_ is completely open to interpretation. An idea which having a sequel throws away, at a fundamental level. He even mentioned _The Killing Joke,_ as a reference to the decision to make the movie ambiguous, which in turn made _Joker_ to be Joker-ish to its very core - defined by a web of ambiguity. Folie shouldn't have been made, at all.
