Having 7 total beers a week doesn’t make you an alcoholic and literally everyone knows this except for the NIAA. Not being able to stop makes you an alcoholic, and it can hook you at different regular use quantities because people are different. Jury’s actually still technically out on weed’s long term consequences, we’ve only recently been consuming it at this scale as a society. Certainly alcohol is far worse in terms of short term consequences, and that’ll likely be the case for long term use as well, but in 40 or 50 years if Alzheimers and dementia has quadrupled or something and the consequences wind up coming down to either a higher risk of dying that way or liver failure, I’ll take alcoholic cirrhosis for 500 Alex.

As an addicict of both, alcohol is much worse physically, but weed can be pretty bad too. Going through withdrawls from both currently. Not fun. One is labeled a poison and a carcingen, the other could give you copd or something and it will ruin your memory. I swear im about to be 28 and have the memory of a 90 year old

@floreschris5574 I haven't in almost a week. Been over a week from alcohol. Would be why I said I'm going through withdrawls. Are you trying to encourage me to keep it up or did you not read the second sentence?
@NBD96 Жыл бұрын
withdrawals from weed ?? Weed is not an addictive substance...no matter how much you smoke there's no physical dependance on weed...you might be having mental cravings but those definitely can't be characterized as weed withdrawals.

@@MySkilletfanI quit alcohol 3 nearly a month ago. Feel so much better for it. I wasn't an alcoholic but I was very dependent. I quit weed for a week but it doesn't affect me negatively in ways it does others. Edibles dont even work on me. Keep up the good work though dude. It'll be all worth it .
@MySkilletfan Жыл бұрын
@SteveAustin-zv1nn edibles don't work on me either. I metabolize it weird. Over the summer I had a 3 month break from alcohol and about a 2 week break from weed. I wasn't smoking from dusk till dawn though so it was easier. That was also right before I started anti depressants and adderall after finally being diagnosed with a lot of stuff. Alcohol has seemed easier this time but quiting both at once has been kinda hard. The restless nights and waking up freezing and covered in cold sweat is not fun but it'll pass. I really want to get sober to be a better partner. We want kids and soon and I don't want to bring a child into that kind of world even if I am a giggly drunk. I think I'm going to buy some aa chips to see if that helps motivate me. I've proven to myself I can do it. Hopefully I will hit a year shortly after you.

Sal has a true point. Alcohol is way worse than weed. If not all drugs. Alcohol is readily available to everyone over 21 and weed usually just makes someone chill out and stay home and alcohol ruins way more lives than weed. It’s because we sell it at places where people drive home and kill people in an accident. Weed smokers don’t have a worse life than someone who drinks everyday. I’m sorry that’s my stance on it. I’ve died from drinking. Technically I died for two mins and put into a coma for two days but I used to smoke in high school the worst thing that happened was a tripped a little to much because I was cold. Alcohol is wayyyyy worse than smoking.

With the Flat Earth argument, I've always wondered and have asked this but never received an answer. If the earth was flat, what benefit would anyone have over 'falsely' claiming the earth is round? We know for a fact through people refusing to sell their houses to larger companies, that money cannot always work as an incentive, so what else is there that is strong enough to keep every space agency on the planet and its employees, as well as countless physicists, astronomers, astronautical engineers etc all silent and 'in on it'?

@@bababab6906 He wasnt. Id agree with him I find weed less dangerous than alcohol. But his blanket statement that weed has never harmed anyone is straight up bullshit. I know people with COPD who only smoked weed. So physical harm? Definitely possible. Weed can also bring out mental disorders (specifically schizophrenia) in people who are predisposed to having it. And realistically there is no way to know with certainty if youll be such a person. Also people lose their jobs, give up hobbies, fall into more severe depression, damage their relationships, etc over weed every fucking day. Just because you arent seeing people getting their stomachs pumped from OD doesnt mean its not dangerous. And weed for certainty is a gateway drug. Nearly every addict Ive ever met in my entire life started with weed. It can help some people, but it also can hurt others. Potheads never will stand with the idea there are any consequences to marijuana. Its a fucking joke
