@@Goaty_1 well yeah. My intention is to use rng quite a bit with the random weapon spawning. Enemies have high hp as a homage to original zombie mode and weapon damage is updated accordingly to that

Hi Jolly! I don't know anything about the internals of GoldSrc, but in debug builds of Source Engine games, NPCs will produce sparks if they fail a task and have no fallback schedule defined. So the scientist producing sparks probably wasn't something the modder put in on purpose. But you didn't need me to tell you that.

if you're planning on playing doom mods I'd really recommend the "Goin' Down" mappack, I think it's just up your alley: absolutely silly and with really good environmental storytelling (since that's basically the only kind of storytelling you can do in the Doom engine)
