Andy was channeling my mom. I am sure of it. She would probably have done the same given half a chance. One day, my husband and I took my mom and his dad out to dinner, and mom, hubby, and myself had their choc nut sundae for dessert. They bring you a small jug with the chocolate sauce so you can put on as much as you want. After we finished our ice cream, there was still a good amount of chocolate sauce left in each jug, so mom poured it all into her sundae glass and ate it all. The glass was almost full. The lady was a total chocoholic.

When I went to Culinary School the first thing our Chef instructor said was all food can trace their dishes to French Culinary techniques and ingredients with few exceptions. Did I mention he was an American who went to Le Cordon Bleu in Paris? My Pastry Chef went to Le Cordon Bleu also, but he was British. That meant he took less abuse.

That is the epitome of good service. Over a year ago, I went to a 2 michelin star restaurant and we knew the owner, so we got the works, treated like kings, so of course it was incredible, and the service was just as it should have been, but this is a different kind; it's playing, engaging, and making friends with the guests, so they walk out feeling amazing about what they payed for Props to Chef Thibault

No but it will likely be phenomenal anyway. The French bakery in my city is by far the best. France and pastries truly are next level. I went there as a teen and even their regular bread in regular ranked hotels is still the best I've ever had in my life. DO IT!
