In New Zealand during the 80s some households would use breakfast canned spaghetti(similar to canned baked beans) as tomato base for pizza. Even as a kid & occasionally as a teen & young adult I’d have cooked canned spaghetti on buttered toast with cheese melted. And then as an adult upgraded to baked beans with cheese

There is only one place where the baked beans belonged to and it's being part of the budae-jjigae. Speaking of which, they should try to make a pot of budae-jjigae by just using local English ingredients. Wouldn't be too hard, right? I mean spam, cheese and baked beans can be easily found in the supermarkets while Korean ramyeon can be replaced with the local English noodles.

Aren't most ingredients in a budae-jjigae just canned and tinned western ingredients, with some kimchi and gochujang thrown in? It's probably easier to find the authentic ingredients for it in the UK than it is in Korea lol.

the pizza subs are something we commonly have in the US called 'french bread pizza' & used to be served at some schools for lunch. Not a great meal but a way to feed a family quickly and relatively cheaply.

Would love to see what y'all think of the American frozen pizzas. The specific ones I liked to get, obviously not the best pizzas in the world, but were great for quick, cheap and easy to cook food. California Pizza Kitchen, the BBQ Chicken mainly. Sam's Choice, the Philly cheesesteak one. And, my favorite of the three was always the Red Baron classic crust pepperoni. Awesome episode as usual. I love the ones with Mr. Z in them, like the 3 best friends that anyone could have! 😅👍 Also, I think it would be amazing for Jolly to take Mr. Z to Texas for some Texas BBQ some time. 🙂🤤

I think adding a load of cheese on top and eating it with bread helps alleviate the texture issues but for me it's mainly that the sauce is so bland it makes me feel nauseous. I throw a few spices at them and some chilli sauce or pickle so they actually taste of something if there's nothing else to eat

The sub pizza is something a bunch of kids growing up in the 90’s in America calls French Bread Pizza. It’s what your mom makes to make homemade pizza and they can’t cook very well. It’s actually really good. We always had it with a layer of cream cheese, then the pizza sauce, then the cheese and toppings, and because you sliced the French bread in half, you would get two pizzas out of each loaf of bread. I feel like you guys need to recreate this on one of your videos, it’s actually really good.
