Carbs on carbs pretty much always works. Surprisingly less sweet bread seems to work better than using a brioche or pandesal. Though obviously those are delicious as well. The important part is to not use a hard bread, as that just makes the ice cream squeeze out the sides as you try to bite into it. ;)

What you need to do is order the things in a certain way and put them together yourself……When ordering the beer of your choice, ask if they can fill part of the glass with lemonade to make a Shandy. For your peanut butter bacon sandwich, ask for a side of peanut butter spread when you order a ShackBurger with added bacon. Add the PB sauce yourself and change your life forever. Order a frozen custard and ask for a side of grilled hamburger buns, for an ice cream sandwich. Ask for chopped sport peppers to be added into your Cheese Fries, for sport pepper cheese fries.

Ice cream sandwich is actually a street food in Singapore. We will use a piece of normal breakfast bread (not the German type) and place a scoop of ice cream in it, then fold it in half to hold the ice cream and eat it. It's so darn good on a hot day. It is definitely not disgusting because you are supposed to finish it before it melts badly, and the bread being slightly salty works very well with the sweetness of the ice cream. And you don't have to cut it up like cutting a waffle, and create a mess with melted ice cream on the plate.

Yeah, I think only some locations (no matter the fast food place) make them. And if the employee is newer, they are probably less likely to know what the person is talking about. And also less able to figure out how to charge for them and know what they can and can not do. Can't blame that employee like some people have in the comments. In and Out is basically the only restaurant that actually embraces their secret menu and keeps it off the menu. Ice cream in a bun is a streetfood in the Philippines.. There's "Dirty" Ice Cream vendor in a push cart (Not actually dirty, but we call it because it's steetfood ice cream /sorbetes style) with 3 seasonal flavors (like cheese, chocolate, mango, dragonfruit, etc) then they sell ice cream by the scoop and put it either in regular wafer cones, sugar wafer cones or bread buns.. All of the kinds are very good, but when the ice cream is in a bun, it's a snack and dessert that's very lovely and nostalgic. Hope the Jolly team can visit the Philippines someday.
