When not wearing a hazard suit the player does indeed have health regen. No healing items appear during the stages where the player may take damage but has no HEV suit in Half Life 2, and so the player's health regenerates extremely rapidly once no more damage is taken, similar to how the health works in Portal. This is directly proportional to the red tint, and so when the red tint is gone the health has effectively regenerated entirely. This is rather unbalanced for actual combat, though the player was never supposed to engage in combat without the suit. The fact that health regenerates is simply to prevent the player from getting stuck at critical health in the early parts of the game.

Jacob Zaragoza umm you sure about that? For one most shotgun aren’t using rifled barrels(where the term rifle came from originally) the main reason for this is because rifling will cause shotguns to have way worse spread then normal unless you are using something like a slug. In any case the original definition for a rifle could cover stuff like pistols and sub machine guns. Which had the definition change to be more specific. But 90% of the time, no matter if you are using a modern or old fashioned definition shotgun doesn’t fit the definition of a rifle. So no he pick up a shotgun not a rifle

Brupcat I did forget to mention the shells but the thing is if it did had a rifle barrel and not be shooting slugs the spread would have pellets hitting tress on both sides of the pond it has something to do with pellets rolling along the grooves of a rifle barrel and basically exiting at a fairly sharp angle. Hence why most gun firing shotgun shells are smooth barreled. And while some rifle use pump action and tube feeds. The method of cycling and holding ammunition doesn’t make it a shotgun it just that tube feeds and pump action is popular for shotgun especially with the diverse amount of ammunition you can load into a shell. From HE rounds to bean bag to slug to bird shot pump action general doesn’t give a crap and tube feed allows for a more streamlined form(no giant mag sticking out the bottom). now I could go on more about the benefit and drawbacks of these features but I digress. The most important thing about a shotgun is that it fire shells loading mechanism smooth barrels is a result of the shell themselves. Anyways I originally got on the other guy case because of the ‘shotgun is still a rifle’ part I was focusing on how a shotgun isn’t a rifle not on how a gun is a shotgun.

Wow the level of ambition in this mod, well in the beginning was pretty nice. Then like you said there is a point we see when they just lost all interest and that ambition soon faded to "just get 'er done". Those "diving animations" were hilarious!! I assume the creator went for the "epic explosion while jumping out of window" style of diving, but that ambition was waning already! Loved the video, even if your patience is tested during the mod playthrough I do say you have a high level of tolerance for annoying moments/frustrating events/broken element and you keep going. For the sake of the video/stream I salute you for that! :)
